Best of luck to our Boru Blazer U16 boys , competing in the AIG All-Ireland Club Championships 2026 this weekend in Gormanston, Co. Meath. We are so proud of our Boru Blazer boys playing in this competition!

The AIG AICC's are the premier basketball competition in Ireland for U14 and U16 boys and girls. The U16 boys is this weekends Saturday, April 25th and Sunday, April 26th, highlighting a great month for grassroots basketball.

AIG is Basketball Ireland's 'Club and Community' partner, which includes title sponsorship of the All-Ireland Club Championship.

It's almost time for the AIG U16 Boys All-Ireland Club Championship, bringing 25 of the best team together in Gormanston, Co. Meath 🔝

Last year it was Limerick Lions, featuring two players who went on to form part of Limerick Sport Eagles roster which won the Domino's Men's Super League and Presidents' National Cup titles 🏆

Well done to our U17 boys who also participated in the AARHUS BASKETBALL FESTIVAL, in Riskov, Denmark this week. As well as Boru Blazers Basketball Club, 23 other teams from 3 different countries, divided into 6 different groups were playing in this age category. Flying the flag and representing Boru Blazers, Ballina and Killaloe! A great few days of basketball competing with other countries at a very well organised event. Well done to our U15 boys who won the
“Fair Play Award” while participating in the AARHUS BASKETBALL FESTIVAL, in Riskov, Denmark this week. This is a great experience and a great opportunity for the boys to complete and enjoy basketball with other nationalities. In addition to Boru Blazers Basketball Club, 19 other teams from 3 different countries in 5 different groups were playing in this age category. What a day! A huge well done to our U-16 boys! Still a very new club with players only playing basketball for a short time. This is a huge achievement! All the commitment and training has paid off. Very proud of your U16s and their coaches. Thanks also to Ennis Rockets for a great game of basketball. 🏀
