Inter Kenmare U13 Girls - Season Opener vs Listowel

Our U13 girls kicked off their season today away to Listowel after a very long trip north.

We got off to a flyer when Mila smashed a cracker of a goal very early on. Listowel hit a long range cracker to level the score in the first half, and from there it was a fierce battle.

Mila commanded the centre field with Mary McCann causing havoc going forward. Kayla had a super game countering the long range kick outs. Our backs were commanding- Rose and Sophie rock solid.

Chloe was outstanding in goals in the first half with some fantastic saves, then came outfield in the second half and put in a huge performance. Ruby and Rohika took shifts in goals in the 2nd half and both did superb.

A special mention to the U11s who travelled to help field the team - Ruby, Neala Belle and Mary B - and our U12s Sophia and Saoirse. Super performance from the young girls stepping up.

The start of a new season begins. Our under 14 boys are away to Killarney Celtic this evening at 7:45pm, Saturday & Sunday our boys under 12 and girls under 13 are in action. We want to wish all our players, coaches, volunteers the best of luck for the season ahead.

Great to see the FAI roll in behind Walking football, Walking Football is a fun, non-contact sport and is a great way to socialise and keep fit, if your interested, we run our walking football every Friday evening at 7:30pm
