✈️➡️🇨🇳 - Team Ireland has departed for Guiyang City and World Boxing China.

The team will take part in a two week sparring camp, before boxing begins on June 15th.

A team of 11 has been named to contest World Boxing Cup, China.

The team includes 5 Paris Olympians, multiple European medalists and athletes contesting the 2026 Commonwealth Games.

Taking place in Guiyang City from June 15th to 20th, this is the second stage in the 2026 World Boxing Cup series. The series is a benchmark competition run across three tournaments, designed for Elite male and female boxers to accrue ranking points.

Terry was very unlucky to lose out on a split decision, which went to the home boxer.
Terry is improving every time he steps between the ropes!

Day Two at Felik Stamm and 11 Team Ireland boxers are in action from 2pm.

Now in it’s 42nd year, the competition is taking a slightly different format. The 2026 edition has included 3 day training camp, followed by a two-day Round Robin involving Ireland, Poland, Germany and England taking place on May 8th and 9th.

Best of Luck to Clíona flying out to Poland ☘️☘️

A 10-strong team has been named to contest the Feliks Stamm event in Poland.

Now in it's 42nd year, the competition will take a slightly different format. Named after the coach known as the Father of Polish Boxing, the event traditionally takes place in Warsaw in a championship format as a gold-status World Boxing tournament. The 2026 edition will include a 3 day training camp, followed by a two-day Round Robin involving Ireland, Poland, Germany and England.

High Performance Director, Jon Mackey says 'We've adapted to the late change in format of the tournament, as it continues to represent a significant development opportunity for every member of the team. It’s a valuable platform for development, and we’re pleased to name a strong squad that will benefit from both the competitive and preparatory aspects of the event.”
