Are you finding it difficult to keep your home warm or struggling with rising energy costs? Help may be available through the SEAI Warmer Homes Scheme, and we are hosting a local event to help residents learn more and apply.

At this Homeowner Energy Event, experts from SEAI (Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland) and the South East Energy Agency will be on hand to explain the Warmer Homes Scheme and answer any questions you may have.
The scheme offers free home energy upgrades to eligible households, helping to make homes warmer, healthier and more energy-efficient. Upgrades may include improvements such as insulation and other energy efficiency measures that can reduce heating costs and improve comfort.
Who may be eligible?
You may qualify if you receive certain welfare supports, including:
β’ Fuel Allowance
β’ One-Parent Family Payment
β’ Working Family Payment
β’ Domiciliary Care Allowance
β’ Jobseekerβs Allowance (over 6 months with a child under 7)
β’ Carerβs Allowance (and living with the person you care for)
β’ Disability Allowance (over 6 months with a child under 7)
What to bring
To help start the application process on the night, please bring:
β’ Your current house insurance policy
β’ A recent electricity bill
Members of Vision for Courtown & Riverchapel will also be present to assist residents in filling out application forms and guiding you through the process.
This is a great opportunity to learn how you may be able to make your home warmer, reduce energy costs, and improve energy efficiency with the support available.
