It is with heavy hearts that the committee and members of Tralee BC extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Shane O'Brien, who tragically lost his life this week.

Shane was a young man known and admired throughout the cycling community, bright, mature beyond his years, quick with a laugh, and unfailingly gentlemanly, yet a fierce competitor whenever he took to the bike. He carried himself in a manner that made him as well-liked off the bike as he was respected on it.

Earlier this year, Shane finished 2nd in the Lacey Cup, at just 16, was one of the youngest riders to stand on that podium in many years, a remarkable achievement that spoke to the talent and promise that lay ahead of him.

Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and clubmates at this devastating time.

A humid night on the flat route for our Tuesday training session. Very pacey in all the groups and some new faces which is great to see!

We are now ready to progress our latest club gear order!

All items are from the Sportful custom range. This is high quality gear which will last for many seasons. Thank you to our gear partner Roca Sports Ireland for there continued support!

Kudos to Niall McCarron for winning the North Tipp Wheelers Time trial League which concluded last week.

Niall put in solid rides over the course of the 8 week league on a tough 28km course to take the overall win.

A rider who is well able to mix it in the pointy end of bunch sprints but also able to get the results contre la montre!
