What makes this race so special is not just the runners on the road, but the incredible community spirit behind it. Huge credit must go to Sportsworld Running Club a small club tucked away in Bushy Park that continues to punch well above its weight. Terenure should be incredibly proud of what this club has built.

What started back in 1985 with a small group of women training for a 10k, coached by Emily Dowling, wife of our local boxing legend Mick Dowling, has grown into one of the great community races in Dublin. A perfect example of how big things can grow from small seeds.
Since its beginnings, the race has raised an incredible €325,000 for charities, including this year’s partner, Jigsaw. That is something truly worth celebrating.

So tomorrow, Sun 10th May at 9am let’s get behind these amazing runners. Step outside your front door, cheer them on, and take pride in the fact that our community can deliver an event like this year after year.

Best of luck to everyone taking part, whether you’re chasing a PB or simply crossing the finish line for the first time.

A huge thank you to the organisers, volunteers, stewards, local residents and supporters who make it all possible.
See you on the starting line! 👏🎉
