Today at 11 am. This really is a meeting you should attend if you are a carer.

Very important meeting. Relevant to so many of us. Shame on our Government who have done nothing to date to address this issue. In fact, it’s backwards we’ve gone …because most of us now have absolutely no respite anymore for our young adults since Covid 😢
P.S. does anybody know of any other towns where this meeting will also be held? I’ve checked the website but cannot find any other information but I know it is being hosted in a lot of of our local towns. Please DM the page if you have any ideas with dates and times. Thanks.

Better Together Basketball is back next week - Tuesday 15th. This year it will be in the boys club every Tuesday.
🏀We will have a younger group for primary school children from 3.15 to 4pm

🏀secondary school and adults from 4pm to 5pm.

‼️All help will be greatly appreciated. Looking forward to seeing you next week. Please pass the word around. New members welcome.

So proud our gang were a little part of this movie. It’s a tear jerker, you’ll need Kleenex and you WON’T want to miss it. TRY follows 4 athletes who are heading to the mixed ability World Cup in Pamplona in 2025. It will be shown in The Everyman in Cork. Oct 2nd. 7.30. It has sold out really quickly but there are still a handful of seats left on the balcony. We are in negotiations to get it down to West Cork in one or other of the available cinemas, but it’s going to be one hell of a night up in the Everyman

We are starting Floor Curling on Mondays and simply everybody is welcome and this sport is so thoroughly all inclusive, suitable for everyone, wheelchair users, all mobility issues, the game can be played from a seating position with a special tool so please come along and join in. All details on the poster below, any queries give Mairead a ring and we’re delighted to be able to start this in Skibbereen town. Do please share the post and spread the word 🥌

This announcement will please so many people, the floor curling will be starting back on Wednesdays, see the post below for all details. It had become so popular it was a joy to see how many people were attending and thoroughly enjoying themselves so we’ll be back at it, thanks to Mairead and her other coaches. We had a wonderful surprise at training in Clon RFC last Saturday with the arrival of Mel Long from The Children’s Project Charity Shop in Spillers Lane. Mel arrived, quite unexpectedly with a very very generous cheque to donate towards the Jesters and all our efforts. We thank him and all the volunteers in this marvellous shop for their kindness and continued support for the Jesters. Thank you to Joan and Patrick who have been liasing with Mel since her coffee morning earlier in the summer when we had a similar very generous donation. Please support their charity shop in whichever way you can. I picked up some wonderful little plants yesterday as I went past, then got very distracted when I went in and ended up with some beautiful glassware as well. Keep up the good work, guys! And thank you so so much.

A great joint training session and match practice for some of our girls with Ballincollig Trailblazers and Sundays Well Ladies yesterday in Tanner Park, a very big thank you to the Trailblazers for organising this, a couple of weeks into training and we’re back with a bang into the new Rugby season & glad of it 🏉
Congratulations to Jess for being appointed “Captain on the Day”, always taking on everything with a smile!!

Hopefully we will have everybody back to training soon on a Wednesday night, now the schools are back and routine sets in again we will look forward to seeing everybody. We are always looking for new players…. do please get in touch. Your support is hugely important for our future.
Training is Wednesday’s in Ballycommane 7pm. Going forward into the darker months we will have to make a decision on where we train but for the moment we are having a fantastic time on the improved pitches and facilities at Bantry Bay RFC.  Thank you as ever for their unwavering support 🙏🏼
