🥌🥌🥌Our first Jesters Curling tournament, and no great surprise to report it was an outstanding success 🙌🏼 Thank you to everyone who came to make it such a wonderful event. We had nearly 50 participants from CoAction, Rehab and National Learning Network. We would like to thank Niall and John from Skibbereen sports centre and Robbie Walsh, Aoife McCarthy , Lauren
O’Callaghan,Bobby Carstairs and Alex Ring , TY students from Skibbereen Community school who were a great help. It’s always heartwarming to see these young caring adults getting involved… so a huge thank you 🙏🏼 Mairead Cronin must get immense recognition for being the very focused driving force behind The Curling and its incredible success over such a relatively short period 👏

We're taking a little break from curling now , we'll recommence after the midterm break, Monday 2nd November in Skibbereen,Wednesday 4th November in Bantry Boys Club.

All participants from the Tournament are invited to our awards night during our Jesters social on Saturday 5th December in the Parkway hotel , Dunmanway, at 7.30pm. Do please come and join us on our social night , everyone is incredibly welcome to what will certainly be a night to remember. Tickets are €40 for a 3 course meal and entertainment. 🎂 Wishing one of our very best the Happiest of Birthdays today 🎈 Geraldine Middea it’s an absolute pleasure having you and your lovely family around, taking part in so many events and being such terrific friends to everyone. Let alone your talent on the pitch, bringing everyone together, great and inclusive Rugby is always played, but I think most of all we love your friendship, and what’s really special is when your whole extended family take part in various events., Remembering well when your dad took to the rugby pitch in the Jesters gear one day! Have a truly fabulous day., You are loved by each and every one of us 🧡

A great demonstration of Floor Curling was had in Listowel recently. The West Cork Jesters facilitated the popular event and a big “Thank You” to Orlaith Cronin and Áine de Hóra who were the coaches on the day.
A super and well received initiative by ourselves and Kerry Recreation and Sports Partnership.
You can see from the photos how successful it was. It really is suitable for simply everybody, nobody is excluded from this game. Huge benefits for both exercise and socialising.

Wishing our Danny the happiest of birthdays today!! He’s one in a million, one of the speediest wingers we’ve ever had. If you can get the ball to Danny, he’ll probably score a try! He has been with us since the very beginning, been very active in the run-up to the World Cup extremely committed to training and a very happy positive person to be around. Thoughtful and kind to his teammates and we are so delighted he continues his journey with us. We are wishing you a very happy day today…… oh and cake!! Cake definitely required! 🎂

Mícheál Martin loved it!!! We were so delighted that he was able to make the time in a busy schedule to not only deliver powerful words at the beginning, but also to stay on and watch the movie showing commitment to the support of inclusion and afterwards kindly posing for photographs with some of our gang.

🥌🥌🥌 Another 1st for the West Cork Jesters 🥌🥌🥌
With huge thanks to Mairead we will be holding the very first West Cork floor curling tournament, firstly this is open to absolutely everybody, it is suitable for every single ability, wheelchair users, persons with physical disabilities. It is possible to play from a sitting position and our volunteers are always there to assist.

We hope to see as many people as possible highlighting this event, held on Monday, October 19 at 10:30 am-12:30 pm in the Skibbereen sports Centre .
