🌟Active Adults 50+ Intro to Lawn Bowls🌟

This fun 6 week leisure programme is a perfect opportunity to get active and try something new. Specifically designed for Active Adults aged 50+, the programme aims to teach you all about Lawn Bowls and foster a fun and friendly environment.

Places are limited and pre-registration is essential.

📅Date: Programme begins on Wednesday, June 10th
🕙Time: 10am – 11am
📍Location: Cavan Leisure Centre

Another fun day out at our 'Come & Try Orienteering' series last weekend. This event took place in Belturbet. 🧭🚶‍➡️

Thank you to Orienteering Ireland and Fermanagh Orienteers for organising this event and being on hand to help participants on the day. Everyone had great fun navigating their way around the course. 🗺️📍

Following on from our post yesterday announcing our Partnership's for 2026, we are delighted to introduce Emma from Table Tennis Ireland as our new Table Tennis Development Officer in Cavan! 🏓

Cavan Sports Partnership are excited to have Emma on board. Emma is enthusiastic about getting started in the area and is looking forward to building connections within the local communities and clubs.

After a great start with table tennis sessions in St. Bricin's College last week, Emma is looking to build momentum and get other schools involved. If there are schools, clubs or organisations interested in table tennis sessions, please email [email protected]

We are delighted to share this lovely Wellness Day that's taking place in Cornafean GFC - GAA Pitch and Hall on June 7th.

Working together, our aim is to grow sports reach, increase participation and/or build sports capacity in Cavan with an emphasis on target groups such as disadvantaged communities, children, youth at risk, women (teenage girls and women), ethnic minority groups, persons with a disability, and males over 35.

These partnerships are made possible through the Sports Development Fund and supported by Cavan County Council

🏀This lovely group from the National Learning Network completed their basketball foundation coaching course as part of Sports Ability Coaching programme. 🏀

The group learnt lots of valuable skills and had lots of fun along the way. ⛹️‍♀️⛹️‍♂️

This was a wonderful opportunity for the group to learn in a safe and friendly environment and we would like to thank everyone involved in organising and delivering the course.

The course was delivered by Laura Deeney and funded through Dormant Accounts volunteer support Fund.

Killeshandra Camino Committee and the community are looking forward to welcoming visitors to join them on a Camino walk which will take place on the 20th of June 2026.

The route will take walkers on a journey around the picturesque town and its environs and will cover 35.5km.

As the sun shone during the recent heatwave, outdoor table tennis sessions were delivered to 1st & 2nd years in St. Bricin's College Belturbet☀️🏓

It didn’t take long to warm up, but the energy stayed high throughout.

It was fantastic to see such enthusiasm from the students, and even better to watch other year groups getting involved and continuing the games together during their break times.🫶

We had a great turnout for Orienteering in Con Smith Park last Sunday with Orienteering Ireland and Fermanagh Orienteers which took place during Orienteering Week🧭

Participants had great fun racing around the course, combining adventure with problem solving 🏃
