Castleblayney ABC Boxing club Castleblayney Boxing Club is a non profitable organisation situated in Castleblayney.

Our mission is to get the best level of boxing from each individual and to promote boxing, health and well being for the people of Castleblayney and surrounding areas.

A fantastic weekend of boxing in Culloville for the midulster championships 👌
Saturday
Blayney boys all performed great today! Setanta lost a tight bout despite being out for over a year. Setanta doesnt make it easy for any opponent and will only learn from this. very gutsy boy. Matthew lost a 2.1 split which could have gone either way. He was really sharp today and is a really improved boxer. His time is coming. Colin won his semi final in his usual stylush manner. Honourable mention for Shea, harry and josh with the dreaded walkovers they didn't want. Owen finished the day boxing an opponent he fought previously. He was leaving no doubt in the judges (or anybodies minds) who was taking home the gold by stopping his opponent in the first round.
Day 2
Three great wins today at the mid Ulster s for Tommy, Colin and Brooklyn, who all scored standing counts and won unanimous decisions in their respective bouts. Tommy won a semi final and boxes a dukes boxer in the final, Colin beat Armagh and Cavan boxers to take gold while Brooklyn beat a Fermanagh boxer to win his 🥇🥇🥇

Red red red for the win yesterday!
What a weekend at the Armagh Downs! Well done to Brooklyn yesterday setting the standard and Owen following suit, stopping his opponent in the first round. Owen made sure this was definitely a convincing win 👏 Both lads earned themselves gold taking team Blayney to a total of 5 gold and 1 silver out of 7 entries. 🥊 All of our boxers boxed out of their skin and we couldn't ask for more. Keep up the hard work! As per usual we had great support, well done everyone 👏 👍

Well done to our 3 boxers today competing in the Armagh Downs. All 3 performed brilliantly. Matthew had his best performance to date but unfortunately didn't get the decision in a tight fight against a very good Culloville boxer. Colin had a tough contest and again it was very tight but the decision went the other way. Cillian kicked off his boxing career with a gold medal and stopped his opponent in the first round😳 👏👌
We are up again tomorrow, best of luck to Brooklyn and Owen.

We were delighted to show Pete around the club this evening and thank him for sponsoring us! 😀 we are so grateful for local businesses showing their support! They make such a big difference to these boxers and make it possible to showcase and improve their talents! Recent boxing champions Kaiden (All ireland champion) and Ruarc (Louth champion) were proudly showing Pete their medals this evening and will wear their new sponsored gear in upcoming competitions 💪🥊👌
