A huge congratulations to Ciara, who on Saturday won Fastest Female of the Belfast & District Big 3 Series.

It was fantastic to see her achieve this award, which is a real credit to her smooth riding style, determination, and never-give-up attitude.

A lot of credit also has to go to her fitness coach, Paul Ward, who has her in peak physical condition and prepared to take on the huge demands of two qualifying sessions and four races in a single day.

A fantastic achievement and thoroughly deserved. A very big congratulations to Ciara, Paul, and the whole team.

Also Thanks to McKillop Race Support who sponsored both the Trophies Ciara was presented with on Saturday, and Thanks to the Temple Club.

Race Report USBK Rnd 7 at Kirkistown Race Circuit.
Promoting Club Belfast & District Motor Club Ltd

After an early start from home Team Cahoon arrived to a cool but dry circuit. After all the set-up and scruitineering were done Ciara was out for Qualifying on the Bryan Harding Moto3 machine session 2 and this was followed up by the Supersport Cup session 4. Ciara was riding really well and Qualified 3rd in Moto3 and 4th in Supersport cup class.

Running order for the day was Race's 2 &10 for moto3 and 8 & 16 in Supersport Cup.

Moto3 - with Qualifying 3rd on the grid Ciara got a cracking start and she run consistent 1:06 lap times finishing a good 4th place. Also in the 2nd race Ciara ran in the 1:06 the low 1:06 times again finishing 4th overall for the day.

Supersport Cup - Qualifying with the best time of 1:02 and 4th on grid. Ciara again got a cracking start and was running really well dipping down to very low 1:02 times throughout the day doing consistently during both races. Race 1 Ciara finished 4th and in Race 2 she ran 4th for most of the race to be overtaken in the dying laps to finish 7th. Another cracking day at the office with good racing and results.

To round it all off Ciara was presented with the Belfast & District Motor Club Ltd Fastest Female Award.

We would like to thank the Belfast & District Motor Club Ltd for such a well run meeting, COC Chris Crowe, all Officals, Road & Flag Marshals and Medics.

Next Weekend we head to Bishopscourt for the postponed Rnd 1 event from Easter.

Race Preview - Rnd 7 USBK Championship at Kirkistown race circuit Saturday 5th September.

This Saturday see's Team Cahoon heading to Kirkistown for the Belfast and District Motorcycle Club's Grand Finale of the Big 3 series. Ciara will as always be riding her own Honda CBR600RR and Bryan Harding's Moto3 Honda.

With having spun plenty of laps around Kirkistown last Sunday Ciara is back up to speed and looking forward to getting back racing again after a 4 week lay off with no racing. With having a great time at Aintree at the beginning of August we are hoping for the transfer to continue as she has always gone quicker each time she has come back home.

The weather is looking fine for Saturday so get yourself down and watch some great racing. We will have our Merchandise etc on sale for anyone who'd like to support a young up and coming female rider. The future is bright

kirkistown Trackday - Sunday started dry but the weather forecast wasn't looking great with thunderstorms forecast for the afternoon. Ciara had her own Honda CBR600RR and we had also Bryan Harding's Moto3 Honda. The plan was to run the 600 first session so as to scrub in a new slick rear in preparation for next Saturday, and to get Ciara back up to speed after a few weeks of the machine. The Thunderstorms and rain didn't arrive and Ciara spun 60+ laps throughout the day on both machines, running times of 1:03's on the 600 and 1:08's on the Moto3. Job Done

We now look forward to the next round of the USBK Championship which is the final round of the Belfast and Belfast & District Motor Club Ltd Big 3 series at Kirkistown next Saturday 5th September
