Here at Macha Yoga we honour the flow of nature and reconnecting our body and mind to its cyclical rhythm. As a result our teaching plan for the year and our offerings connect with the seasonal wheel of the year. Unlike many modern ways of breaking down the year, the Celtic tradition holds the “cross quarter points” between equinoxes and solstices as vital milestones to alert us to the strengths and needs of the land in each phase. At Macha Yoga we acknowledge these 8 significant astronomical points and the changes they herald.
With Lughnasa just behind us, we have Autumn Equinox, Samhain, Winter Solstice, Imbolc, Spring Equinox, Bealtaine and Summer Solstice yet to look forward to.
With deep inspiration from nature a shared value amongst our facilitators, we are conscious of the wisdom our ancestors held about the challenges and opportunities in each phase of the year. In this approach we have crafted an approach to holistic well-being that is always fresh and changing, offers you ample space to find sustainable self care, and develop your strength and resilience. We also have experienced this approach creates great results for our clients in their well-being goals and wards off our modern dis-ease such as seasonal affective disorder (SAD), burnout, anxiety etc.
