Happy World Ocean Day from the most beautiful corner of the planet 🌊💙 After a decade of diving these waters every single day, we understand exactly why the ocean demands our protection.
We are extraordinarily lucky. We dive in a globally recognised Hope Spot. We work in a Marine Protected Area that sits at the heart of the Coral Triangle which is home to 76% of the world’s coral species. We see manta rays, turtles, whale sharks, mola mola, and thresher sharks with a regularity that still makes us stop and appreciate every single encounter.
But none of this is guaranteed.
Marine Protected Areas only work when everyone inside them. Operators, divers, snorkelers, locals, and tourists take the responsibility seriously.
When briefings happen.
When codes of conduct are followed.
When conservation is treated as the priority..not an afterthought.
We partner with year-round because data protects ecosystems. Every manta ID, every turtle survey, every behavioural observation contributes to research that influences how these waters are managed and preserved.
On World Ocean Day, we’re not just celebrating what exists here. We’re recommitting to protecting it.
