These sessions are aimed at Over 50โ€™s, although most members are aged 60s-80s. โฃ

We welcome both men & women, although the woman definitely take the lead - with just one gent currently attending (if you look closely enough, you can see him led on the floor at the back ๐Ÿ˜‚)

I honestly cannot tell you how heartbreaking it was to see so many elderly people, just left without help.

Sat on a plastic chair, blood coming from their heads, throwing upโ€ฆ unable to be seen any quicker because the NHS is on its knees.

This is NOT a criticism of staff.
There just arenโ€™t the numbers to cope with the demand.

But it really hit home just how important my job is.

To encourage older adults to move,
To get strong,
To reduce their risk of falls.

To raise awareness of HOW important this is ๐Ÿ‘€

It is never too late to start.
But if you donโ€™t, you may end up in that hospital and think to yourself - โ€œI wish I had startedโ€

This has been our โ€œFinisherโ€ in classes this week ๐Ÿ‘ฃ

Weโ€™ve been practising stepping down from a box - but with impact. Why? Because real life isnโ€™t controlled. If you trip, miss a step, or lose balance, your body needs to react quickly and confidently.

Most of the time, youโ€™ll save yourself by catching your weight with the other foot. Training that reaction, impact tolerance, and confidence can help keep us strong and ready for everyday life ๐Ÿ’ฅ

Tricep dips are no-oneโ€™s favourite - but theyโ€™re very useful if youโ€™re keen to independently get yourself out of the bath in your later years.

They can be a little too uncomfortable for people with weakness in the wrists, elbows, or shoulders - so we offer a tricep kickback as an alternative to work similar muscle groups.
