Wrexham fencers went to a great Leon Paul Junior Series event at Shakespeare's Swords Fencing Club today and put in some really great performances. They all fenced really well in tough fields and approached the competition will great spirit - well done team! 💪🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🤺🔴

Wrexham had 5 fencers competing at the British Youth Championships in Sheffield this weekend - for 4 of them it was their first time at an event of this size and they all had a great time, fenced well and learnt a lot.

Wrexham sent 8 fencers to another superbly run The Youth Series event in Liverpool - friendly and supportive environment for our young fencers to get some great fencing opportunities. Lots of fun was had and the squad are returning with an impressive haul - well done to all 🤺💪🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

💫 Fencing Superstars! 💫

Three Moreton Prep fencers were flying the flag for Wales in their first ever international fencing competition in Poland at the start of the Easter holidays. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🇵🇱

Rhys, Cora and Evalyn were fencing for Wrexham at the prestigious Challenge Wratisalvia, which welcomes over 1000 of the best young fencers from all over the World to compete over several days in the city of Wroclaw. This year’s event welcomed competitors from not just across Europe but also as far away as America and Australia.

In the under 11 girl’s category, Evalyn and Cora found themselves in tough poules with many fencers at the very top of the age group. They both put in exceptional performances, scoring points, gaining invaluable learning experiences and having great fun.

Rhys was competing in the under 11 boys’ event, and performed with great tenacity and skill against some commendable opponents, all with a smile on his face!

All fencers were fantastic ambassador for Moreton Hall, Wrexham Fencing Club and Wales. The bravery to compete in this event at a young age is a medal worthy result itself. They are all looking forward to bringing their learning back to their training and working towards next year. 💙

A big weekend of fencing at home and abroad with Wrexham fencers competing at The Youth Series in Liverpool and Challenge Wratislavia in Poland 🇬🇧🇵🇱🤺

Joakim & Joia put in good performances in Liverpool to both secure podium spots in the U17 Boys sabre and the U12 Girls sabre. Joakim picked up the silver medal and Joia a bronze 🥈🥉💪

Rhys, Evalyn and Cora were flying the flag for Wales in Poland at one of the biggest youth fencing competitions in Europe. The event welcomes fencers from all over the World to Wroclaw for several days of competition. The Wrexham squad were all competing in the U11 sabre events and put in positive performances, learnt lots and had great fun. A great outcome from their first international event and they are all raring to bring their experience back to the club 🇵🇱🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🤺💪

Congratulations to Will who was representing Wrexham in the Welsh National Championships in Cardiff this weekend. It was the first time we have had a senior fencer at the event for a few years - a positive development after sending a big squad down for the Youth Champs earlier this month (including Will!) 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿💪🤺

Fantastic weekend for Wrexham Fencers home and away!

🏋 Friday - the first of our strength and conditioning sessions that welcomed competitive fencers from across North Wales.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🏆 Sunday - Wrexham sent 9 fencers to compete in the Welsh Youth Championships in Cardiff. This was our biggest squad in recent years, we had experienced fencers and brand new competitors in every age category. Lots of learning, fun and fencing and all eligible fencers qualified for the British Youth Championships! Plus, thanks to his last 8 finish last year Oliver automatically qualified. Special shoutout to Evalyn for competing on her birthday and Archie & Lydia for being the younger sibling support crew! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🤺💪

Two Wrexham fencers headed down for a great LPJS ran by Shakespeare's Swords Fencing Club this weekend - fantastic learning and experience for both fencers. Rhys was in a big field of U12 Boys, but was undeterred by his first event at this level. Cora meanwhile has been here before, and fenced superbly all day to claim top spot 🤺💪🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🔴
