🔴⚫ SO IT BEGINS… OUR FIRST GAME OF THE SEASON! ⚫🔴

The wait is finally over! ⚽️🔥

This Saturday marks a huge milestone for our Johnstown Youth U12s as we play our first-ever game of the season — and our first game in Grassroots Competitive Football! ❤️🖤

What a journey it’s been building this team over the last few months. From putting the squad together, getting to know each other, training hard and learning to play as a team — now the real journey begins!

There’ll be nerves, excitement and plenty of challenges along the way, but most importantly, we want the boys to go out there, enjoy their football, work hard for each other and give everything for the Shirt, The Team and the Club.🔴⚫

This is just the beginning of what we hope will be a fantastic journey for this group of lads.

🔴 TOBY JONES #10 ⚫️

A Well Deserved award for Toby, who worked tirelessly from start to finish. His attacking runs caused problems for the Rhos defence, while his defensive efforts and commitment were outstanding.

His work Rate Today was Brillaint, and Really showed what a Quality player he is.

🔴 ⚫️ Great performance from the boys today against Rhos Aelwyd U13’s 👏

We came away with a 6-3 loss, but there’s so much to be proud of. Playing a year up against older opposition, the boys showed incredible character, effort and determination from start to finish. 💪

A special mention to our forward Brychan for scoring his first goal! ⚽️👏 And Oliver continues to impress, adding another 2 goals to his tally. 🔥

The midfield work rate was unbelievable — the effort, energy and commitment throughout the game was outstanding.

The defence and keepers were unbelievable and showed signs that they are really getting comfortable at 9v9.

The result may not have gone our way, but performances like this show just how much potential this group has and how far we’ve come.

Special mention to POTM Toby Jones. His work rate in midfield was brilliant and really adds quality to this team.

We wish Rhos U13’s all the best in the season ahead.

Our final Pre-Season Friendly is here! ⚽️🔥
This Saturday we welcome Rhos Aelwyd U13s to the Matty Jones Circle for what promises to be a tough test for the boys.

💪 We’ll be stepping up against a team a year older than us, giving the lads a great challenge and one final opportunity to test ourselves before the season gets underway next week.
It’s been a long pre-season, with plenty of hard work, learning and improvement along the way.

Now it’s time to enjoy one last game before the 26/27 season begins!

🔴 JACK JONES #11⚫️

A thoroughly deserved Player of the Match award for Jack tonight.

He did everything asked of him at the back, putting in a really organised and solid performance. He was excellent in the tackle, gave absolutely everything for his team and battled right until the final whistle.

Not much got past him tonight, and he can be extremely proud of his performance. 👏🔴⚫

We gave it everything today and came up short against a very good Lex. Tried our best, and no regrets for trying to attack the game 💪⚽

Great to have Oliver back in the team and back on the scoresheet with two goals after missing the last few games! 🔥 Huge credit must also go to Archie for two superb assists. 👏

We now head into the final week of our pre-season fixtures with two home games against Lex XI and Rhos Aelwyd Under 13s.

The team have been absolutely fantastic so far and have worked incredibly hard throughout pre-season. Now it’s time to enjoy these final games, play with confidence and express yourselves on the pitch! 🙌

Let’s take everything we’ve been working on into the new season and finish pre-season strongly. 💪⚽

He pulled off some great saves, communicated really well, organised his Defence and distributed the ball well, always looking to put us on the front foot.
