I did it AGAIN! Pulled a muscle/ upset my sacroiliac joint . I’ve learnt so much through yoga recently. I was just contemplating how the majority of my yoga journey is when I’ve turned to yoga as medicine, used it during the painful times, the injuries and the pregnancies. Middle of night, can’t sleep, yoga on the bed kind of yoga. Panic attack need to move need to breathe yoga. And so I recently wondered if I can stay consistent with yoga and embrace it when I’m happy and healthy for its joy and strength, a different kind of healing and medicine. And then the universe answered 😂 here’s an injury again, to remind you that yoga is for every body and it is medicine but also to show you that perhaps you don’t really want to hurt yourself every time you want to strengthen your practice?! I’ve also really loved and newly appreciated my interest in seated yoga and today I felt so many benefits from it, I was able to stretch and move and breathe whilst supporting myself and I could feel my muscles release ever so slightly by the end. I. Love. It. Seriously though… don’t dig in the garden. Don’t lean over and twist. Don’t stand whilst pulling up weeds. Breathe. Don’t rush. Don’t push through. Don’t leave all the gardening to one full day. Look after your body 💚🙏🏻⭐️

In the world of AI and phone addiction I’m trying to stay creative and reduce phone time. I am so grateful for social media for sharing my classes and to all of you for your likes and shares to build my business and bring yoga to the local community.

Yoga is like Art too. You don’t have to be ‘good’ at it, it doesn’t have to look a certain way, it’s about taking part in something because it’s good for you. It’s not the outcome, it’s the practice itself ⭐️🩷🥰 seated yoga is not the lesser or easier option. Yoga is Yoga and the seat is just another prop like a block or a strap. Yoga isn’t touching your toes, it’s what you learn on the way down and yoga has always been medicine.

Seated yoga is a great way to practice yoga with the support of a chair. It can support individuals who for various reasons may not be able to get up and down from the floor. It is not just for older people. It can be a way to access yoga at any age whilst a mat is unavailable to you. It is also not ‘easy’ yoga. Yoga is Yoga - the union between mind, body and breathe. You do not have to be flexible, strong or have any knowledge whatsoever before you come to class. Come exactly as you are, you are already enough and perfectly wonderful ⭐️
