I have birthed my baby a thousand times already.āŗļøš„¹
This pregnancy has been one of the most liberating journeys of my life. It has stripped away illusions and shown me soo soo much.
For so much of my life, Iāve been the one supporting others, showing up, holding space, giving my time, my energy, and my heart. But this season has made me ask a difficult question: when I am at my most vulnerable, who is truly there for me?
There is no bitterness in that question⦠only awareness.
Life moves quickly. Itās easy for us to become consumed by our own responsibilities and our own struggles, our own worlds. But sometimes, in the process, we forget the people who need us most.
I am guilty of this too!
This journey has taught me that itās okay to receive. Itās okay to create boundaries. Itās okay to stop chasing the support that isnāt freely given and instead become the safe place Iāve always searched for.
Perhaps thatās one of the greatest gifts motherhood gives us before our babies even arrive isā¦we donāt just give birth to a child⦠we give birth to a stronger, wiser version of ourselves. š„² šŖš¾
