❤️ Good news, Longknowle class is reopening ❤️

Classes will open on:

Thursday 7th October and Friday 8th October 2021 at 7pm till 8.30pm

The cost of the class is £4 and we do ask you have the right money please!!!

A few things you will need to know this will save any disappointment and you being turned away on the night.

Masks to be worn in reception area and toilets

We ask you bring your own mat

The above is so we can remain covid secure and prevent our classes from shutting again 🙏

Cheslyn Hay restarts Tuesday 7th September. The centre requires participants to use own mat, wear a mask in foyer and toilets and Barbara to do a register for track and trace for the centre. Barbara will be on the door to direct operations. Let Barbara know you intend to attend. We look forward to welcoming you all back it’s been a tough 18 months for us all and good to get back to normality!!

Let this be a Red Letter Day (Special)


Try to dismiss all the disappointments of the past
all the hurts and sorrows.
Think only that this is a brand new Day.
One to be used constructively; happily and in contentment.

There is nothing to prevent
this being the beginning of a whole new life ~
It depends on you
The past has gone, let it go
The future is not yet yours
The present is here, use it before it goes,

You can fill this moment with living
It is full of opportunities, don’t waste them!
The way you think sets seeds for the future
‘As you think so you become’
You need not remain as you are now

Control your thinking,
you are in charge of your mind.
Don’t allow it to be in charge of you!
See yourself as you would like to be;
there is always time to start afresh

Have the courage to step out of the ‘old you’
Make changes in thought, word and deed.
Accept what cannot be changed
Live your life to the full
Enjoy the present moment.

Make your surroundings calm, peaceful and relaxed.

Have a happy outlook, a purpose in life.

The lotus flower


The lotus flower begins life from the root; which is embedded in the mud and slime at the bottom of the pond. Life stirs within it and the shoot reaches out from the bed of the slime. Above it sees the light and has an urge to reach that light.
Little by little it climbs towards the light until at last it achieves a breakthrough. The bud appears above the surface of the water.
It is warmed and stimulated by the heat of the sun and the pranic energy until it open and reveals its full beauty.

If we liken ourselves to a lotus flower…we are buried in materialism. Always seeking…seeking a new car…furniture, house, clothes and never being satisfied with the simple things in life.

In yoga we look to refine ourselves…looking upward and to our inner self and we too will then blossom, like the lotus flower.

Let the lotus symbol be an inspiration to us all

As you can see the class enjoy the moving mandala of the lotus flower…gradually unfolding and looking upwards to the sun ~ much trust, laughter and fun are part of the class. So often yoga is seen as a solitary experience and this sequence is enjoyed on occasions it helps the group to get to know each other too.
