The Flight To The Final!

Our team have worked incredibly hard to get here. Every round has brought tough opposition, and we’re proud to have earned our place in the final.

🏆 DAILY BUILD UP (Day 3) 🏆

Both sides have played their football in the PDFL Division one. Ketton has taken 4 points from the Harriers whilst the Harriers only have 1 point to shout about.

Wittering 1-1 Ketton

This game came very early on into the season for both teams. Neither team had faced a defeat at this point and it was a slightly cagey affair. It was Ketton who netted first. With some individual brilliance from Alfie Webb the Harriers managed to secure a point on this day.

Ketton 5-4 Wittering

Not long after both teams met again and this time it was Wittering who came out flying. Securing a 4-0 lead at half time. Credit to Ketton they never gave up and miraculously turned the game around to secure the 3 points a day I’m sure neither team will forget.

🏆 DAILY BUILD UP (Day 2) 🏆

The Harriers have tasted what it’s like to lift a trophy and know the feeling. Ketton however in their second season as a club are yet to lift a trophy. Will that make them hungrier for this one or will Wittering use last season’s feeling to push them over the finish line.

Both teams were formerly part of previous PDFL side Wittering Premiar. Making this final an extra sweet game. Players are familiar with one and other and have both had lots to say in the past. But there can only be 1 winner 🥇

AND... OUR FIRST TEAM ARE OFF TO THE CUP FINAL! 🎉🏆

After a huge battle on Saturday , we beat Glinton & Northborough FC on penalties. What a team effort from the Wittering lads!

It just shows that belief, trust, and faith in your teammates can take you all the way.
