A huge congratulations to our Reception Manager, Jo Pickworth, who is our Employee of the Month for August! 👏

Jo has been part of WRF since 2020 and is a familiar, friendly face to so many of our members and visitors. Since becoming Reception Manager in 2023, she has continued to go above and beyond to keep Reception, the heart of our club, running smoothly.

Over the past few months in particular, Jo has led her team through some big changes, including the introduction of our new access control gates and welcoming Zoë to the Reception team, all while continuing to provide a fantastic experience for our members.

Congratulations, Jo! 🎉 A very well-deserved recognition and a big thank you for everything you do for our members, your team and the club. 💙

🎾🏆 Fantastic first Racquets Challenge!

On Sunday, members from across the Club swapped their usual courts to compete across tennis, squash and padel!

It was brilliant to see our different racquets sections coming together for some friendly competition and plenty of fun. 🙌

Arthur has been part of the Club since the 1960s and, remarkably, continued playing tennis right up until the age of 97! 🎾👏

A fantastic result for our Wi******er Men’s B Padel Team, who secured the Hampshire & Sussex League title with a brilliant away win against Crawley last weekend! 👏🎾

A special mention to club juniors Tom and Joe Jepson, who made their adult team debuts alongside Ben Jepson and Andy Birch.

There was some fantastic padel on display, with several incredibly close matches going all the way to deciding set tie-breaks.

Congratulations to the whole team on a brilliant league campaign! 🏆👏

There’s still time to get involved, but entries are closing soon! Open to all levels, with A, B, C and D Grades, it’s your chance to compete across a fantastic weekend of squash at WRF.

A fantastic afternoon on court for the Tex Mex 🇲🇽 Charity Tennis Tournament on Sunday! It was great to see so many members getting involved, enjoying the tennis and sporting some brilliant Mexican-themed attire along the way. 🌮🎾

Most importantly, the event was all in support of Field Lane, raising funds for a fantastic cause.

A huge thank you to Lisa Nops for organising such a fun and successful event, and to everyone who played, donated and supported the day! 👏

A fantastic 5 out of 6 players in the Hampshire Men’s Over 35s team were from WRF as they headed to Eastbourne for the County Cup last weekend! 👏

Competing in a very strong Division 3, the team achieved their goal of staying up and will remain in the division for another year. 💪

Well done to all the players, and a special mention to WRF’s Tom Perkins, who captained the team! 👏🎾
