Well done to our Apsley B teamers!
From Captain Hamish:

Kingsgate B continue their travels and campaign at David Lloyd Southampton.
A mixture of indoor acrylic courts and outside artificial clay challenged the seeding. Eventually AI was ditched and old school guessing provided our pairings and their playing surface. I think 6 of our eight players got to enjoy the clay and sunshine.
Solid play provided some solid results and the sole loss ended in a 10-8 championship tie break.
David Lloyd fixtures are always linked with the legendary provision of chips. The hosts provided some very welcome post match hospitality to finish up an enjoyable afternoon.
Two fixtures to go, with a week off for club finals before meeting Glebian, with winter fixtures on the horizon.

Well played to our Apsley Bs today playing another hot one, away vs Thorndon Cs.
A 2-6 result against the division leaders and what sounds like a great afternoon of solid tennis with close sets.

From fab cpt Hamish:
Top of Div 4 Thornden were showing great consistency and gave a solid defence of the ground they held.
I think we gave a brilliant performance and strongly challenged for the whole afternoon.

Our Apsley As played Thorndon at home yesterday. Considering Thorndon are enjoying an easy ride at the top of the premier division, and that they probably sent out their strongest possible team, we did really well.

Some hard fought points and games were won by us in a few long matches, just not quite enough to topple their crown.

Very well played Dan, Rachy B, Steph, Tom C, Lorelei, Sarah, Blake and Sally.

Three more Apsley matches to go in our quest to stay up in the premier division.

A huge well done to our valiant Apsley As mini team today playing away vs a strong Warsash A contingent.

This was a rescheduled match where Lucy, Gemma, Anil and Tom pulled together at the last minute and rescued us from no show deduction points with so many of our A squad being away.

Last Saturday our Apsley As played away vs Riverside A.

We came second (5-3) against a strong side but fun was had and we got to play with our lovely Jen and Phil one last time before their new adventures properly begin.

Well done to our Apsley As who beat Swanmore at home today 5-3. Four championship tie breaks were mostly won by us, in constant sweltering heat. Nerves of steel!

A long, nail biting neck and neck ladies doubles finally clinched the win and an outstanding tea was obliterated by us all.
