Yikes! I wasn’t expect this news to pop into my inbox on Monday morning... but as we know (ano something we should never lose sight of), life is full of surprises.

I thought it was inconvenient getting a recall letter about my Nissan Leaf and having to return it to the garage for safety checks, but this falls into a completely different category!

I felt a little triggered when I first received the email. My monkey mind immediately leapt into action, creating stories and scenarios that may never come to pass. But with a little space, breath and perspective, l’ve been able to reframe things.

I’ve reminded myself that I have the capacity to deal with whatever life places in front of me. That I don’t need to solve tomorrow’s problems today. That I can remain present rather than becoming tangled in the what-ifs, buts and maybes.

In many ways, this feels like the real practice of yoga. Beyond the poses, the Eight Limbs offer a guide for living with greater steadiness and awareness. They remind us that whilst we can’t control everything that happens around us, we can cultivate how we respond.

As Patanjali teaches, we practice showing up with consistency, and we practice letting go of our attachment to outcomes.

Or, in simpler words:

“Peace comes not from having a perfect life, but from meeting life as it is.”

This month (and quite possibly July too), we’re diving deeper into the healing work of somatic energy.💚

Exploring the power of breath. The magic of quiet, intentional moments. The gentle unwinding of stagnant energy held within the body.

We’ll be bringing awareness to the subtle energy body - the invisible energetic layer that underpins our physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual wellbeing.

I’ve always found this work deeply nourishing for the nervous system, particularly during busy or demanding seasons of life.

Truthfully, it’s what I need most right now. So I’ve decided to let go of my original plan for June and instead teach from the heart.💚

💚 £25 – Includes a 75-minute yoga class and time to wander amongst the flowers afterwards.
Bring your own yoga mat and settle into a nourishing practice designed to help you unwind, breathe deeply, and soak up the beauty of nature. Surrounded by vibrant blooms and open skies, this is an opportunity to slow down, reconnect, and simply be present.

Following the yoga class, you are invited to spend time enjoying the flower fields, with refreshments and Stem & Green’s Pick Your Own flowers available as optional extras. We are incredibly grateful to James Greig and Stem & Green for their generosity in supporting this event. All proceeds from the evening will be donated directly to Wi******er Hospice, with an additional 50% of Pick Your Own flower sales and refreshments also being donated.

This evening is being held in loving memory of Matt. It is an opportunity to honour his extraordinary courage, spirit and determination throughout his illness, whilst celebrating a life that touched so many people. Together, we will take a moment to pause, reflect and remember Matt, while holding space for his wife and children as they continue to navigate life without him.

You’re not lazy.
You’re not unmotivated.
And your body isn’t giving up on you.💛

But when even gentle movement feels exhausting…
When your joints ache in ways they didn’t before…
When your energy disappears without warning…
Or when you’ve quietly stopped altogether because it just feels like too much, it can feel so tough and, at times, quite isolating.

Especially if you’re living with chronic pain or chronic fatigue, navigating perimenopause… or simply moving through a season where your body no longer feels predictable or safe.

You might find yourself stuck between:
👉 pushing through and feeling worse
👉 or avoiding it completely and feeling frustrated

I’ve been there too. After neck surgery. After miscarriage. After years of living with persistent pain.

This is where many women lose trust in their bodies.

You just need a different approach.

I am 47 and feel the strongest I have felt in a while but more importantly, I’ve found a way to move that feels safe and supportive.

If you’re going through a difficult season, self-care can often feel like one more thing on an already impossible list. Yet those are often the moments when caring for yourself matters most.

It’s a time to pause and check in with your heart. To notice how you’re responding to life’s challenges. To reflect on the patterns, behaviours and relationships around you, and to make the choices you need to make in order to create the life you want to live.

We can’t always control what happens to us, but we can choose how we meet it.

You are the architect of your life.

As someone who has travelled a long road with my own mental health, I know first-hand how transformative yoga can be. Beyond the physical practice, it offers tools that can gently shift perspective, regulate the nervous system and help us find steadiness when life feels uncertain.

My own life feels pretty messy right now, but yoga and nature continue to provide a calm and steady anchor. They remind me that contentment isn’t found in perfect circumstances - it’s something we can cultivate within ourselves, even during life’s more challenging chapters.

And perhaps most importantly, when we choose presence over panic and steadiness over drama, we create something different for our children to witness and learn from.♥️
