Redon 12… what a day/event/race! Genuinely wasn’t too fussed on this one. Jack snoring all night and the smallest Travelodge bed ever resulting in about 3 broken hours of sleep probably didn’t help 😂
The Redon team delivered big time! What a day! By far my favourite race to date and something a bit out of the box for us Move&Rigs.
Up at the Haydock race course a 5km run loop on and around the track as a relay team with Jack & Tom for 12hrs. We managed 174km, myself 65km. I niggled my calf on run two but the regular massages helped me continue. The weather wasn’t as bad as we had predicted and if anything probably helped. I think it added to it as part of the challenge in a way. Everyone out on the course was so supportive, I tried my hardest to say “Well done, keep going” to everyone all day. Those who took it on solo get my absolute biggest respect!
We came away with a second place Mens team. A podium position wasn’t even a thought until maybe a good 4hrs in where we started to climb the rankings. Truthfully I don’t care about a podium or flag, my goal was to not let Jack & Tom down by dropping out and making sure to finish the 12hrs. I was in a bad way for the last 5 or so runs. I managed 7 under the 20min but faded as predicted, Jack was unreal with his pace in the second half of the race. You’re something else you are mate! Tom put in some cracking runs and dug in when it got tough. Genuinely told myself on the last run that I wouldn’t dig this deep for very few if anyone else. That last run was mainly for you Tom, I could see how much you wanted it for us as a team. Bloody love you two lads, top humans!
If you did Redon 12, you’re a warrior. You earned that after party, meanwhile I earned the after maccies instead 😂
My favourite part of the day was just offering a bit of support to anyone out there on the track and hopefully help them to keep fighting on and chipping away and they’d say something positive back too 🤜🏻🤛🏻
Will definitely enter that again!

The Kids Training Camps this week and last were brilliant! All the kids that came on both days were all great! Good efforts from everyone. I get asked to put these days on all the time and I’m always a bit reluctant to. I won’t lie- it’s hard work having them for a long time and keeping them interested. I really take my hat off to all teachers! Seriously! I’ve really enjoyed these camps. I’ll be sure to do more next holidays.
I just wanted to thank the parents for supporting these sessions with their kids attendance and pennies. I try to keep these days as affordable as possible for all.
We all had a great laugh. A good blend of Boxing/Fitness/Hyrox.

28km around Lake Vyrnwy today. Thanks to Oscar for the support on the bike passing me my drinks and gels. Felt brilliant up to around 21k but a tight groin and hamstring had me trying to cling on for 30km. I decided to throw in the towel at 28k. I hoped to get 32k @ 4:02/km today. I’m a bit annoyed with that in the end but it’ll come. Keep chipping away.
