Mick Aris’s Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday 6th June at 2pm at Wednesfield Aces Cycle Speedway Track, Ashmore Park, WV11 2JW.

We will come together to share memories and celebrate Mick at a place that truly was at the heart of his life — where many lifelong friendships and connections began.

Following the ceremony at Ashmore Park, we will continue to Gilbert’s Bar, Willenhall, WV13 2NY, where there will be photos of Mick, his favourite songs playing, and an opportunity for everyone to share stories, memories, and re-air some of the famous Mick Aris experiences that made so many people smile.

We would like to thank everyone for the kind words, support, and love shown since Mick’s passing. It comes as no surprise to us how loved he was, with his simple approach to life and his way of living it to the fullest. Mick will continue to live on through his family, friends, and the many memories shared by all who knew him.

The family would also like to invite anyone who wishes to share a fond memory or say a few words in honour of Mick on the day to please get in touch.

There is no dress code as such, but colours, sports tops and race tops are very welcome 🙂

💛💙BATTLE OF BRITAIN THE RESULTS 💙💛
Up first was the junior Battle of Britain which featured three of our aces riders: Corey Burt, Nyla Aris and Jacob Jewkes.
With no East or South and South West team it meant the Midlands went head to head with the junior North Team.
It was the Northern team that come out on top despite great efforts being made by the team in particular our young aces!

Afterwards Corey made another appearance this time in the Senior Midlands team and was joined by team mates Lee Aris and Chris Jewkes. It was a close match throughout and after finishing heat 27 the Midlands and North were both in joint second place on 84 points. Aces Corey and Lee lined up on the outside grids against the Norths Ed Morton and Reece Pollitt but unfortunately it was not meant to be so the Midlands took the bronze, the north silver and the East took home the gold after finishing ahead of both teams on 99 points.
Corey B - 15pts
Chris J - 9 pts
Lee A - 13pts
Well done to you all today 💙💛

We’d also like to wish everyone a safe journey home from Edinburgh! 💙💛💙💛💙
