And that’s a wrap on the 25/26 season — and the final one under the Wednesfield badge. 🔴⚫️

We kept up our tradition for the last game of the season by giving the lads the chance to play in different positions and enjoy themselves.

Great to see NM9 get his first goal since signing for us — a well-taken finish!

Just like last season, we gave MD1 the opportunity to push forward and play the second half as our number 9. Brilliant to see him causing the opposition defenders problems and creating a couple of chances for his teammates as well. TD8 also stepped in and put the gloves on for the second half.

Also a great solo goal for JM7 which saw him run the length of the oppositions half and slot it into the bottom corner.

Now it’s time for a couple of weeks’ rest before preseason and our summer tournaments begin.

With tomorrow marking our final game of the season, we just wanted to take a moment to say a huge thank you to everyone who’s supported the team throughout the year.

Firstly, a big thank you to Gray and Kev at the club for everything you’ve done — always being there to open up for training, running the bar for the parents, and helping get players signed on at a moment’s notice. Your support and commitment never go unnoticed.

A massive shoutout as well to our sponsor, Alex Goodier and everyone at Ink Experts, for backing us from day one and sponsoring our kits. We’re incredibly grateful for your support.

Most importantly, thank you to all the parents, guardians, aunties, uncles, and grandparents who bring the lads to training and matches week in, week out whatever the weather. None of this would be possible without you.

Let’s all enjoy our final game of the season tomorrow, then a well earned few weeks off before we make the move together as a team and begin the next chapter at a new club.

Two closely contested games yesterday for the Warriors, resulting in one defeat and one win.

Game 1

A very tight game from start to finish. We had more possession and created the better chances, but unfortunately couldn’t make them count. A great save from MD1 kept the opposition out from their only real chance, before an unfortunate own goal, which could have gone anywhere, ended up in the back of the net.

Game 2

Another close match where we again created chances but were unable to convert for much of the game. All the lads put in a strong shift once again. TD8 gave us 110%, chasing down every ball and creating a couple of chances, while CJ6 caused the opposition defence plenty of problems going forward. Late on, a corner from JM7 found our fox in the box, ZS3, who volleyed home another goal to add to his impressive tally this season.

A tough morning for the Warriors this week, but we’ll bounce back and go again next week.

Game One

A Last 16 tie against a top side who played in the top group. They were a very strong footballing team and always dangerous going forward. In the first half, the lads gave a great account of themselves, with some excellent saves and brave 1v1s from MD1, meaning we went into half-time at 0-0.

The opposition came out strongly in the second half after a frustrating first half from their point of view. They managed to score twice and ran out 2-0 winners. Plenty of positives for the lads to take from the game against a top side.

Game Two

We started the game slowly, all the lads heads were down after losing the previous match. We found ourselves 2-0 down at half-time.

In the second half, though, the lads completely controlled the game. LJ5 scored a worldie from the halfway line, before CJ6 continued his fine goalscoring form to bring us level. We hit both the bar and the post but couldn’t quite find the winner.

What a fantastic morning for the Warriors — two wins from two and not a single goal conceded. Every player played their part today. We mixed things up brilliantly, playing some lovely football out from the back, moving it forward with confidence, going long when needed, and adapting well when we came up against a very physical side.

Game 1

This was the first time this season we had faced the opposition, as they have always been playing in the top league. We started a little slowly in the opening five minutes but soon found our rhythm.

We took the lead when a CS4 corner was turned into their own net by the goalkeeper. It was then great to see CJ6 get his first goal since signing for us, quickly followed by his second. JM7 then delivered a free kick that was deflected in off an opposition defender. A well-deserved 4–0 win.

Game 2

We came up against a side we’ve played a couple of times this season, with previous games being close and ending in draws. They are a very physical team, but the lads knew exactly what to expect.

They moved the ball around brilliantly, producing some great passages of play throughout. Time and time again we played out from the back, with the lads making excellent decisions on when to release the ball. It was another dominant display, with ZS3 helping himself to another hat-trick and CS4 adding a double.

If we had nine Man of the Match trophies today, every player would have deserved one. It was a superb team performance, but JM7 just edged it for both awards. Although he didn’t score himself, he assisted 4 of the 9 goals.

A morning of ups and downs for the lads today. The resilience and character they showed was great to see. With the early kick off and losing an hour, it definitely took us a game to fully wake up.

Game 1 -

We faced a team we’ve already played several times this year, always close, competitive matches. However, this morning we just weren’t quite at it as a team, and that resulted in a defeat.

Game 2 -

A new opposition for us, a well organised and good footballing side . We battled hard, fought for everything, and looked to play our own football whenever possible. Defensively we were solid, with NM9, LJ5 and HC10 all putting in strong performances, and MD1 making a couple of excellent saves to keep them out.
We took a well deserved lead just before half-time when CS4 scored directly from a free kick. The opposition came out strong in the second half and put us under a lot of pressure, but we held firm. CA2 won his individual battles all game and created some great chances for our forward players. They eventually pulled one back, and the match ended in a draw.
