Weekend Round-Up 🥊 – War Boxing Academy
Another busy and productive weekend for the team, with our boxers stepping through the ropes and continuing to gain valuable experience.
Freddie was up first on Saturday in Bournemouth, taking part in a skills bout and performing admirably. He showed great composure, listened well and set the tone for the weekend.
Today, Reuben kicked things off with a brilliant display in his skills contest. He boxed exactly to instruction, stuck to the game plan throughout, and really impressed everyone watching. A top performance.
Freddie was back in again for his second bout of the weekend, this time facing a faster, more explosive opponent. He handled the pressure well, stood his ground, landed his own shots and once again did everything that was asked of him.
Last up was Jack, stepping into his first real contest against a tough and skilled opponent. Jack came out fast, putting pressure on early and trying to control the pace. His opponent was sharp, staying safe and picking shots on the way out. Both lads gave absolutely everything in there, but it wasn’t our day this time and the decision went the other way.
That’s boxing. You win, you learn and you come back better.
Massive respect to all of our boxers this weekend stepping in, representing the club and showing exactly what we’re about.

Stepped in today for a short notice skills bout for Freddie. He has one booked in tomorrow and when offered this one he said yes straight away which shows how keen he is. He boxed well and got the nerves out the way, listened to instructions and done the club proud.

Had the pleasure of watching the Army Individuals Finals last night. Thank you so very much for the invite, there were some extremely good bouts both technically and with true grit. All the boxers done themselves and their units proud. It's great to see that talent is still being developed in the Army

WAR BOXING ACADEMY 🥊

We are busier than ever.

The gym is full, sessions are packed and we’ve got more members than we’ve ever had before.

It’s a great position to be in and shows the hard work from everyone involved is paying off 👊

With that growth, we need to make memberships clear so everything runs properly and fairly for everyone:

Monthly Membership – £40
This covers 3 sessions per week:
• Your 2 nominated weekday sessions
• Saturday morning session

Extended Membership – £60
For those training more regularly, this covers 5 sessions per week:
• Your nominated sessions
• Saturday morning
• Typically includes the additional Tuesday & Thursday beginners sessions

This structure allows us to manage numbers, keep sessions at a high standard, and make sure everyone is getting the most out of their training.

We’re proud of how far the club has come in such a short time and we’re only just getting started.

Here’s what today brings to War Boxing Academy 🥊

Fitness Boot Camp - our first iteration of our 7am Bootcamp, for you busy people who want to get a hiit before life/work/kids catch up.

Beginners Boxing - Suitable for children of any age who want to start their journey in a non contact boxing class.

Ladies Boxing - For any ladies who want to work on their fitness and boxing skills in a supportive and fun environment, suitable for any age, fitness level or skill level.

WAR BOXING ACADEMY UPDATE 🥊

First of all what a start we’ve had.

In our first season we’ve competed internationally, had a Western Counties finalist and now crowned our first Western Counties Belt Holder. The growth, the effort and the results speak for themselves and it’s something everyone involved should be proud of.

Due to that growth, there are a few important changes that need to happen to keep things running properly and allow us to keep moving forward 👇

1. Payments
Many of you are on monthly memberships, which come with added benefits and a reduced rate. These are due in the first week of each month.
We are currently spending too much time chasing payments, sometimes weeks after they are due. This isn’t sustainable.
Moving forward, if payment has not been made after the first week, you will automatically move to a pay-per-session basis.
We also have a waiting list, so we can no longer allow spaces to be taken up by those not paying.

2. Waiting List
Some classes now have a waiting list which is a great position to be in and shows the club is moving in the right direction.
Please bear with us. We are limited on space and numbers per session to maintain quality coaching and safety.

3. Timetable
The new timetable is now live. Not a complete overhaul but small changes to improve structure and progression.
Beginners Boxing is now open to all children, with the aim of building them up and progressing them into the Carded Boxers sessions when ready.

4. Expectations
Standards are rising and so must expectations.
To keep building on what we’ve achieved so far, all boxers must come to sessions:
• Prepared with the correct equipment
• With water (we can refill)
• In the right mindset to train and improve
We are building something special here and to keep that momentum going, everyone has a part to play.

7PM - 💥 Carded Boxers
Where competitors are made, sharpen your skills and raise your level.
Suitable for all registered and carded school, junior and youth boxers 🥊

8PM - 🥊 Adults Boxing
Train hard, relieve stress and get fitter, stronger and sharper every session.
Suitable for adults of every level 🥊

NEW TIMETABLE ANNOUNCEMENT 🥊

After weeks of thought, planning and deliberation behind the scenes, we’re proud to finally introduce the new War Boxing Academy timetable.

This isn’t something we’ve rushed, every session, every time slot and every class has been carefully put together to make sure we’re getting the absolute best out of our boxers at every level.

From beginners taking their first steps, to our competitive squad pushing for titles, this structure allows us to coach with purpose, develop properly and keep raising standards across the board.

1-2-1’s will still be available and must be booked through the club.

This is about progression. This is about growth. This is about building something even stronger.

We’re excited for what’s coming next and this is just the start.
