Basset Down’s beginnings were born when we decided it was time to stop dairy farming and start a new adventure as a family. We took the leap and transformed our beautiful stretch of Wiltshire countryside into a place all could enjoy, opening in 2005. Since then, our small business has grown from strength to strength, and led us down the path we find ourselves on today. After getting planning permi

ssion to extend our clubhouse in 2018, we’ve recently opened our extended facility, including a 78-seater restaurant and bar, two function rooms and 23 meter balcony, alongside our existing golf course, footgolf courses and Toptracer driving range. Supported by our friendly team, we will continue to run Basset Down with customer service sitting at the heart of all we do and look forward to this exciting next chapter!

Before work. After work. A weekend game that doesn’t take over the whole day. ⛳️

That’s the beauty of 12-hole golf. Around 2½ hours, a proper round and plenty of golf, just without having to plan your whole day around it.

And when time, or daylight, is a little tighter, our 9-hole twilight rounds are back too.

Right now, the course is green, the evenings are still on our side and autumn hasn’t quite taken over yet. 🌿

Plenty of reasons to fit in another round while we can ⛳️

What a way to bring Women's Golf Community nights back to Basset Down! 💛⛳️

It was brilliant to see such a good turnout for our first of many dates – plenty of golf, lots of conversation and a really lovely atmosphere on the range.

These evenings are all about bringing women together to enjoy golf in a relaxed, welcoming environment, meet other women locally and have some fun along the way. Whether you’re fairly new to golf or have been playing for years, you’re very welcome.

Our next WGC evening is Tuesday 22nd September, 6–7pm. We’d love to see even more of you there!

Join us on Thursday 17th September, 7–9pm for a fun, competitive and social evening on the driving range.

We’ll be taking on American courses with Closest to the Pin and Points Game challenges, before our top performers battle it out for some fantastic limited-edition Callaway prizes. 🏆
