St Ives Rangers FC

St Ives Rangers FC We are a community, grassroots football club in St Ives, Cambs, formed in 1972.

St Ives Rangers FC was formed in 1972, and organises coaching sessions and football matches for local people ranging from the age of 6 right through to adulthood. All involved have worked hard over the years to build the Club to its current position, where it now coaches in excess of 300 players. The Club has a full set of Football Association excellence qualifications, namely;

⚽️💙 GIRLS FOOTBALL AT ST IVES RANGERS! 💙⚽️

Our Girls Training sessions are open to all girls from Reception to Year 8 in the 2026/27 school year!

Whether they’ve never kicked a ball before or already love football, everyone is welcome. 🙌

Our sessions are a great way to:
⚽️ Learn new football skills
🤝 Make new friends
💪 Build confidence
💙 Have fun and enjoy football
🌟 Start their pathway towards joining a Rangers team in the future

📍 One Leisure Outdoor Centre, California Road, St Ives, PE27 6SJ
📅 Every Tuesday
⏰ 6–7pm
💷 £2 per session + £5 one-off registration fee

All abilities welcome!

Players should bring suitable footwear, hard-shell shin pads, weather-appropriate clothing and a drinks bottle. Jewellery must be removed.

Parents/carers are asked to stay pitch-side throughout the session.

The next generation of Rangers is getting ready to take to the pitch! 🙌

Our St Ives Rangers Mini Minis sessions are back, giving our youngest players the perfect introduction to football in a fun, safe and non-competitive environment.

👦👧 Reception to Year 2
📅 Every Saturday morning
⏰ 9:00–10:30am
💷 £5 one-off registration + £2 weekly session
⚽️ Boys and girls of all abilities welcome!
🏟️ Run by experienced FA-qualified coaches

Our first taster session was such a huge success that we’re doing it again!

If your daughter has been thinking about giving football a go, this is the perfect opportunity. Whether she’s never kicked a ball before or already loves the game, all abilities are welcome.

Congratulations to Sam Sly, winner of the George Randles Memorial Shield at Sunday's AGM.

For years, this club has given a child the game at six years old and then, at U17 or U18, handed them the door. Sam decided that wasn't good enough, and built us an adults team so they never have to leave.

One nomination summed him up perfectly: "No wonder he has no time to do jobs at home." 🤣

Congratulations to Wendy Chambers, our Club Secretary, who won the Chris Convine Above and Beyond Award at Sunday's AGM... an award nominated for by our own coaches, parents and players.

Wendy has been at this club so long that even she can't remember when she started, and in that time she has quietly taken on the pitch bookings, the registrations, the insurance, the disciplinaries, the adult welfare and the Ability Counts match days, all around a full-time job.

As one nomination put it: "St Ives Rangers would never have continued if Wendy wasn't involved."

Nobody who has ever pulled on our shirt has done so without Wendy holding the ground beneath them. Thank you, Wendy. 💙
