Rail Rambles offers free weekly guided walks every Saturday, mainly from railway stations in Mid Wales and the Marches.

So having had a great time walking up in and around Llandudno last weekend, this Saturday we head south to Abergavenny for an 8.5 mile circular ramble. Hop on the train with us, it leaves Shrewsbury at 8.50 and arrives into Abergavenny at 10.08. See our website for all the details. 😀

See what you missed yesterday? 😀. We had a fabulous walk from Dolwyddelan to Betws y Coed. There were views for miles and it was a walk of two halves. The second section was from the Ty Hyll along the river, taking in Swallow Falls and the Miners bridge. For a shorter walk, part of our group had followed that same path from Ty Hyll. The sun shone all day, the bluebells were still out and the river just shimmered. It was beautiful. And what can I say about the train journey from Llandudno? 😍😍😍

What a great turnout for our walks yesterday, there was a choice of a longer and shorter walk both from Colwyn Bay to Llandudno. The weather was perfect and both groups started by visiting the Terry Jones sculpture on the seafront. We all had a fab day out. More to come as today we are off to Betws y Coed, again with a choice of walks. 👍🏻

The weather is looking fine for a choice of free guided walks today. Both start at Colwyn Bay Railway Station and finish in Llandudno. The shorter walk is 6 miles and goes via the Little Orme, while the other is 9 miles and heads inland over to Deganwy. Views on both walks make them so worth while. Meet us at Colwyn Bay station at 10am if you would like to come along.

Tomorrow Rail Rambles arrives at the seaside! We are basing ourselves in Llandudno for three nights.

Our first walk will be up the Great Orme tomorrow, leaving the Merrion Hotel at 2pm. If you would like to come along you would be very welcome. All our guided walks are free of charge.

We have a 7 mile moderate walk planned, around Church Stretton, on Saturday. On a clear day you get amazing 360 degree views from Willstone Hill and Hope Bowdler Hill. Makes the climb so worthwhile! 😀. Check out our website for full details, no need to book.

Did you miss out again???? Glorious weather on a surprisingly green walk from Stockport to Disley. A different location to our normal rambles but well worth the journey.
