Far too much happened to summarise the event.
Highs, lows, injury and everything that goes with the usual 💩show of Kart chaos at Shenington

Sun, fun with friends and a first podium ☀️🏎️🥈

Heat 1
Started P2 finished P3
A sloppy start to the day saw Eva drop a place. The pace was there once she settled down but left herself too much to do.

Heat 2
DNS
A fuel system issue sadly meant that Eva didn’t get off the dummy grid.

Heat 3
Started P1 finished P1
Eva led from lights out to the chequered flag. Her first ever outdoor win. Awesome drive.

Final
Started P2 finished P3 OTR (P2 after a DQ)
Eva led into turn 1 then dropped 3/4 of a second off the leader after sending it a little too hard giving her a wide exit run.
She chased the leader down to less than half a second only to make a mistake at the chicane that saw her drag her kart out of the tyres and recover to P3 on the road. She was promoted back to P2 after a technical infringement with another racers kart.

Eva had the pace to take her first win in the final but those couple of errors cost her.
It was cool to see quite a few neutral fans routing for her and cheering her on.

Another huge leap forward this weekend. Eva can be proud with her efforts during her first outing without novice plates.
The progress she is making under Dean Jukes Racing guidance is awesome. Not forgetting the fact she’s only been racing in owner karting since January this year with zero previous experience of outdoors racing.
Eva is loving competing against racers with years of experience and continues to enjoy the steep learning process 🏎️

Sarah is an amazing coach and has given me lots of positive tips and info moving forwards. Thank you Sarah 🤗🤗🤗
