Due per i mondiali vinti nel 1930 e 1950 e due per le Olimpiadi vinte nel 1924 e 1928

Da regolamento in teoria solo i mondiali vinti consentono una stella sulla maglia

Allora perche questa eccezione?

Nel 2021 la Fifa fece formale obiezione ma la Federcalcio sudamericana dimostrò con documenti storici che la Fifa aveva collaborato alla organizzazione delle due Olimpiadi e all’epoca, quando i mondiali ancora non esistevano, le aveva considerate come campionati mondiali
