Margaret Connolly took part in the hilly 10k at High Elms Country Park. It was tough but memorable. A glute issue mid-race resulted in her first 10k over an hour (1:00:29, Margaret had hoped to beat last year’s 59:05, but was was just glad to finish and delighted to still place 2nd in her age group against strong club runners from North and West Kent.

Camilla Keller, Craig Hoveman and Marie Watson participated in the Ashford Tri Club Triathlon.
The event commenced with a 250m swim, then a 15km cycle to Folkestone and finally a 5km run along the promenade.
Conditions were perfect with just a slight wind.
Huge congratulations to ATC for orchestrating such a great event!

Today 2nd claim member Gary Barnes took part in phoenix running freddo mercury run a multi lap event along the Thames towpath at Walton on Thames where you run as many 3.28 mile laps in 7 hours as you want on a nice flat out and back route, the event started early and the weather was lovely and sunny and did get rather warm, Gary completed 8 laps for a Marathon distance in a Time of 3.57
