Rugby Lionesses β Womenβs Backs Coach Opportunity (2026/2027 Season)
Rugby Lionesses are looking for a driven and ambitious Backs Coach to help lead our Lionesses for the 2026/2027 season.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with the senior squad, shape attacking play, and make a real impact within a supportive and ambitious environment.
Role responsibilities include:
The Backs Coach will support the development of the senior womenβs squad, with a focus on improving backline skills, attacking structure, and overall game understanding. The role will involve delivering high-quality training, supporting match preparation, and contributing to a positive and inclusive team culture.
The successful candidate will:
β’ Plan and deliver engaging backs-focused training sessions
β’ Develop attacking structures, set-piece moves, and backline skills
β’ Support game-day preparation, analysis, and in-match decision-making
β’ Work collaboratively with the Head Coach and wider coaching team
β’ Help create a positive, inclusive, and competitive team culture
β’ Support individual player development and feedback
β’ Contribute to recruitment and retention of players where possible
Training takes place on Thursdays, with matches played on Sundays. We are therefore seeking a commitment to regular training attendance and match day provision.
The Backs Coach will be a motivated and committed individual who enjoys working as part of a coaching team. They will report directly to the Director of Rugby while working closely with the Head Coach.

β’ Strong communication skills and enthusiasm for coaching
β’ Organised and reliable for weekly training and match days
β’ Ability to work collaboratively within a coaching team
β’ Commitment to creating a positive and inclusive environment
β’ Previous coaching experience preferred (qualifications desirable but not essential)
This role would suit an aspiring or experienced coach looking to develop within a supportive environment and make a genuine impact on the womenβs game at the club.
