NEW SEASON BAGGING KIT!
Not long to go now and if your early season river fixes are going to be in pursuit of barbel and chub, give our Speci Bolo floats a try!
This pattern is the start of new, thicker insert designs and features 6mm hollow inserts. We’ll soon be adding some 8mm insert versions, too!
These thicker tips will make it much easier to see the float a long way downstream, especially in bright, blustery conditions. They’re perfect for big hookbaits like bunches of maggots or casters, bread, meat and sweetcorn.
These floats are going to account for a lot of big weights over the coming season…barbel and chub are going to hate them!
Sizes: 6g, 8g, 10g, 12g, 15g.

PRODUCT SPOTLIGHT!
The DH26 was the first of our Rohacell pole floats with Nitinol wire stems and fibre bristles. This one is a traditional body down shape and features a line tube through the float to prevent any cutting into the float body when big weights are the target.
Available in sizes from 0.10g to 1.5g with orange or yellow bristles.
New 2g size soon!

Our DH27 is another design that became quickly popular with canal and stillwater anglers.
The body is made from Rohacell foam and the stem is the amazing Nitinol wire. Fibre bristles complete the construction.
Sizes: 0.10g to 1g. Orange or yellow bristles.

The DH28 features a Nitinol wire stem and a fibre bristle.
Sizes: 0.10g to 1.0g with orange or yellow bristles.

IMPROVE YOUR FLOAT CONTROL…
Something I see way too often are floats attached to the line incorrectly with top rubbers which are poor quality, thick wall rubber and cut much too wide.
It’s really important to use the right quality as thick wall rubber affects surface tension, especially with light floats.
I always use the very best quality silicone rubber tubing and all have a 0.5mm wall thickness. This can be cut into quite thin top rubbers without the worry of line cutting through.
Check out the picture and you’ll see exactly how they should be cut and fitted on bolo floats.

THE SPECI WAGG STORY SO FAR...
Back in 2001, I created a new generation of floats called Speci Wagglers. They were fairly short and buoyant designs that allowed the angler to use relatively thick line (4lb to 8lb) for barbel and chub fishing.
Since that time, many anglers have come to realise how good these floats are in fast water situations and they have accounted for many big weight catches from a variety of rivers.
The family now consists of three main floats along with two loaded options.
The No1 Speci Waggler takes over where peacock quill leaves off. It's a very buoyant float and is available in sizes from 2AAA to 6AAA.
Next up is the No2 Speci Waggler, one of my original designs from 2001. Across its sizes (2AAA to 6AAA) this one is perfect for pacey swims from 2ft to 6ft so it covers a lot of situations.
For very fast water, the No3 Speci Waggler (another one of my original 2001 designs) is the one to use. Again, it’s ideally suited to swims from 2ft to 6ft deep. There’s also an insert version of this float which is the one to use on sunny days when you’re struggling to see a painted top.
I know a lot of anglers prefer loaded floats so I introduced the No1 and No2 Loaded Speci Waggler designs. These two floats are the same as the No2 and No3 unloaded designs but with loaded bases that remove the need for locking shot.
The No1 ranges from 3g to 8g while the No2 is 4g to 10g. They're all available from DH Angling stockists or online.
