Well, if you were at Ponteland RFC today you may have had a fright! 😱

Tynedale Raiders certainly brought the scares to Ponteland, running out 7–79 winners in a tough encounter for our lads.

It was a difficult day at the office, with the Raiders showing their quality and making the most of their opportunities. Our boys kept battling, found the scoreboard with a try of their own.

Credit to Tynedale for a strong performance, and as always, thank you to everyone who came down to support the team.

No tricks, no treats today – just a result we'll learn from and bounce back from next time out.

🟡 Onwards and upwards, Mighty Maroons!

☀️🏉 **A SUNNY SUNDAY OF GIRLS' RUGBY AT PONTELAND!** 💛

What a fantastic day at Ponteland RFC as we hosted our U12 Girls' Pitch Up Festival last week!

We were delighted to welcome teams from **Morpeth, North Shields, Rockcliff, Tynedale, Gosforth and Novocastrians (Novos)**, all coming together to put our Ponteland girls to the test!

There was some brilliant rugby on show, with plenty of determination, teamwork, skill and, most importantly, smiles all round. The girls rose to the challenge, embraced every game and showed just how much talent and potential there is in girls' rugby across the region. 👏

A huge thank you to all the visiting clubs, coaches, volunteers and parents who made the day such a success.

Days like this are what growing the girls' game is all about. More rugby, more friendships and more opportunities to play!

❤💛 **Proud to be growing the game at Ponteland!**

☀️🏉 **GIRLS' RUGBY ON THE ROAD!** ❤️💛

Our Ponteland U14 girls headed off to sunny Consett for a fantastic afternoon of rugby!

A huge thank you to **Consett RFC** for welcoming us and lending us players to help make the game happen. It's what girls' rugby is all about – clubs coming together, making opportunities and enjoying the game.

Every single one of the Valkyries put in a hard shift, showed great determination and gave it their all. Plenty of effort, teamwork and smiles along the way! 👏

A brilliant example of what happens when we work together to grow the girls' game.

Thanks again, Consett – we'll see you again soon! 🏉

Well, well, well. After going off the radar for a while the bucket hat seems to have resurfaced on the Pacific coast at Puerto Vallarta - just the view you need on a cold Autumnal day !
Rumour has it the Ponteland RFC bucket hat is still out there, continuing its world tour. It was last seen here, in [location] 🌍
If you’ve seen it, snapped it, or (even better) bumped into it in the wild, we want to know. Tag us, message us, or drop the evidence on FB 👇

🏉 **FULL-TIME: HOUGHTON 17–46 PONTELAND RFC** 🍷

What a performance from the Ponteland 1st XV yesterday, securing an impressive **46–17 away victory against Houghton!** 💪

The weather might have been tough but both sides battled through the wind and rain to deliver a fantastic game of rugby for the crowd. 🌧️🏉

It was the Mighty Maroons who came out on top, showing real grit, determination and attacking quality to come away with a brilliant result on the road! 🔥

👏 Huge credit to Houghton for their part in a competitive contest, and a massive well done to our players for another outstanding team performance.

💪 **Proud to be Maroon!**

⚠️ SUNDAY MORNING – ALL AGE-GRADE SESSIONS CANCELLED ⚠️

🌧️ With stormy conditions forecast to arrive overnight and continue into tomorrow morning, we’ve taken the decision to cancel all age-grade training sessions and matches scheduled for Sunday morning.

The safety of our players, families, coaches and volunteers is our priority, and we don’t want anyone taking unnecessary risks travelling to or from the club.

We know it’s disappointing to miss a Sunday morning of rugby, but please stay safe, keep warm and we’ll look forward to seeing everyone back on the pitch soon! 🏉

Please share this message with other parents and teammates to make sure everyone is aware.

🏉 **200 CAPS. ONE CLUB. A MIGHTY MAROON.** 🍷

Today is a special day for Ponteland RFC as **Chris Searle earns his 200th cap** for the club in our clash against Houghton! 👏

Two hundred appearances represents years of commitment, hard work and passion for the badge. Chris has been part of the Ponteland family through thick and thin, and reaching this milestone is a fantastic achievement. 💪

From everyone at Ponteland RFC, congratulations, Chris! Here's to the next chapter in the maroon jersey. 🍷
