Rhythm Nation Studios is a local to Sherwood Dance Studio for children and adults. Children from 3+ will have the opportunity to train in Tap, Ballet, Contemporary Jazz, Musical Theatre, Street, and Acro. Pupils of all ages can take exams under IDTA/Acrobatic Arts Syllabus and are given local performance opportunities in fetes and theatres. Everything with us is optional, so you can choose how muc

h you and your child would like to get involved in. We pride ourselves on running small class sizes to deliver that extra special personal touch. Your child/ you will be one of 16 dancers in the studio and your teacher will aim to support you grow in your chosen style. We communicate with you regularly regarding your child's class and ensure all parents and guardians are kept up to date via e-mail, and work hard to provide a positive and rewarding experience for all families. We love what we do and we believe that all children should try all styles and see where they gravitate towards naturally as dancers. Start your dance journey with us today! One from the archives….

When digging through some old photos I found this treasure- I would say I’m about 9 here - with my disco team!

What I remember looking at this photo:

💃 The feeling of excitement of getting into costume with my team!

💃 The adrenaline and buzz of the music and performing

💃 The pure fun of doing something you love alongside other people who love it too!

What I don’t remember are the trophies, the placings or whether we won or not!

I hope all dancers at RNS are looking forward to feeling the buzz onstage soon, and for those who want it more than once a year- that’s what our performance team is for 💕💕

Our audition and placing day for 2026-2027 Competition and Performance Teams will be 5/07/2026 - 10:00am-12 noon Competition Team, 12 noon -1pm Performance Team.

Please register your child using the google form link within the email. (RNS pupils only!)
