☕ Café Assistant – Part-Time & Flexible
Location: Robin Hood Gymnastics Centre
Hours: Flexible, including weekday afternoon/evening and weekend shifts
Pay: National Minimum Wage
We are looking for a friendly, reliable and enthusiastic Café Assistant to join our team at Robin Hood Gymnastics Centre.
This is a flexible part-time role, ideal for someone looking for work around other commitments such as school, college, another job or family life.
The Role
You will help with the day-to-day running of our café, including:
- Serving customers and taking orders
- Preparing hot and cold drinks
- Preparing and serving food
- Operating the till and handling payments
- Keeping the café and serving areas clean and tidy
- Restocking supplies
- Providing friendly and welcoming customer service
- Following food hygiene and health & safety procedures
- Cleaning and maintaining the areas assigned to the café, including the café area, toilets and parts room
- Taking responsibility for ensuring these areas are kept clean, tidy and presentable throughout shifts
Cleaning is an important part of the Café Assistant role, and the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of these areas as part of their normal duties.
Hours
Our main shifts are generally 4:00pm–7:00pm, with weekend shifts also required.
This is a flexible-hours contract, with shifts varying according to the needs of the café.
Experience
Previous café, hospitality or customer service experience would be a bonus, but it is not essential.
If you don't have previous experience, don't worry — full training will be provided. We are looking for someone with the right attitude, who is friendly, dependable and willing to learn.
