🚧 SATURDAY MORNING HOCKEY - ROAD CLOSURE UPDATE 🚧

Please note there are road closures in place around Jordanstown Sports Village and Ulster University until 4th June.

📍In the map below, the red markings indicate the section of road that is closed (from one red mark to the other).

👉 We strongly recommend using the Jordanstown Road entrance for both entry and exit, as this is the most straightforward route.

An alternative route is available via the Shore Road entrance, but the road to the right (past the university buildings and tennis courts) is closed. If using this entrance, take the left turn (Green Link). Following this route will bring you around to the barrier entrance near Jordanstown Road, from where you can continue on to the Sports Centre.

⏱ Please allow a little extra time for your journey and follow all signage in place.

We are delighted to announce the launch of our 2026 Summer Camp programme at Jordanstown Sports Village!

Running throughout July and August, our camps are designed to give children a positive, energetic, and fun-filled environment where they can learn new skills, make friends, stay active, and enjoy a wide variety of sports, games, and activities.

🏃‍♂️ Our Summer Programme Includes:
• Multi-Sport Camps
• Hockey Camp
• Football Camp
• Sign-up options for full camp blocks and individual day bookings

We understand that family schedules can vary during the summer, so we offer flexible booking options to suit your needs!

⚠️ Important Information:
Spaces are limited and demand is expected to be extremely high. Our recent camps, including February half-term and Easter, were fully booked well in advance so we strongly encourage families to book early to avoid disappointment.

We can’t wait to welcome children to another exciting summer at Funkey, filled with activity, energy, and fun!

📣 WE’RE ON A BREAK THIS WEEKEND 📣

There will be no Saturday morning hockey this coming week. All reminder emails have been sent to parents/guardians this morning - just in case you haven’t seen them yet.

🚨 BIG NEWS & EVEN BIGGER EXCITEMENT🚨

We’re absolutely thrilled to announce a fantastic new partnership that we just know our young players are going to love 🙌

We’ve teamed up with ICONIQ HOCKEY! An exciting new brand bringing design innovation and fresh energy to the game, and they’ve kindly provided us with junior hockey sticks for our sessions 🏑✨

This means all of our players, whether they join us on Saturday mornings or through our after-school programmes, will have the chance to get their hands on these brilliant new sticks and give them a try.

We’re incredibly grateful for the support from ICONIQ; opportunities like this make a huge difference to the experience we can offer our boys and girls 💙

🥳 HOCKEY IS BACK TOMORROW 🥳

We are SO excited to see everyone TOMORROW MORNING (9–10am) at Jordanstown Sports Village as we kick off the next term of our 25/26 season!

With lots of new and returning faces, this is officially our BIGGEST block of hockey classes to date 😅🏑

All parents/guardians should have received an email with everything you need to know ahead of Term 3 — if you haven’t seen it, be sure to check your inbox!

⚠️ Important Access Update ⚠️
Due to ongoing works at the Jordanstown campus, there are temporary changes to site access:
- ❌ No vehicle access via Jordanstown Road
- ✅ All vehicles must enter via the main Shore Road entrance

These arrangements will be in place for the next few weeks, so please allow a little extra time when arriving.

We can’t wait to get started — see you all bright and early on the pitch!

✨🐣 EASTER CAMP ROUNDUP 🐣✨

Our Easter Multi-Sport Camp at Jordanstown Sports Village has come to an end, and what an incredible few days it’s been!

It was fantastic to welcome so many brilliant boys and girls across the camp, all getting involved in a great mix of sports, games, and Easter-themed fun. The energy, enthusiasm, and teamwork on display each day were amazing to see 🌟

A huge well done to today’s Camp Stars! These children were recognised throughout the session for their fantastic attitude, effort, helpfulness, and great manners!

Thank you to everyone who joined us — we hope you all had as much fun as we did! Keep your eyes peeled for our SUMMER CAMP LINE-UP, all the details coming VERY SOON 👀

⚡️ DAY 2: CAMP HIGHLIGHTS ⚡️

What a buzzing, high-energy session we had today, all centred around team games! We kicked things off with Active Uno, Hoop Flip, Rock Paper Scissors, and Popcorn 🍿 — great fun activities that got everyone working together, communicating, and backing each other up!

👏 HUGE shoutout to our Camp Stars (pictured below ⬇️) who stood out for their brilliant manners, excellent teamwork, and outstanding effort in every activity!
