As we're off to Anglesey tomorrow I thought I'd do a brief overview of the previous round
We went racing in Scotland!
First time up at Knockhill and what a mega track! I knew it had some elevation change but didn't realise just how much. Only got 3 sessions on the test day so had to get up to speed fast but with it being a short track I got a good few laps in.
My times were decent but with two poor starts in the first two races my finish positions weren't great, frustrated with this I was desperate for a decent start in race 3.
Finally I got away well in the last race! Early on in the race one of the front runners went down promoting me to 4th with 3rd place just up ahead, I knew this was a very rare chance at a podium. I did everything I could but by the time I'd managed to get by Jamie who's in the other class, Luca was 2 seconds up the road which is like 5 seconds around any other average length track. I pushed as hard as I could but couldn't catch him, he rode a solid race. I was happy with 4th as it's my best finish this season but I couldn't help feeling gutted I'd missed the podium. Maybe if I'd had a better rear tyre in (it had done 3 races) I wouldn't have had some of the slides early on which hindered my progress a little.
On to Anglesey this weekend, one of my favourite tracks/places! Hopefully I can continue this progression as it's been a long time coming, we've had a fair few issues this year to contend with!
I'd like to try and level the playing field somewhat at Anglesey by putting some new tyres in the bike to see what I can do. As always funds are very tight so if anyone would like to help out/contribute I'd be very grateful!
That being said, thankyou to my supporters club members for helping out who without, I certainly wouldn't have got this far this year!
