Richard Phillips Racing is a professional racehorse training yard based in the beautiful village of Adlestrop in the Cotswolds. With around 30 horses in training, mainly jumpers but also some flat horses, Adlestrop Stables has wonderful facilities and provides a bespoke experience for horses and owners. Racehorse welfare is at the heart of what we do and our horses are looked after to the highest

level with each horse’s individual training requirements met. Based near Wantage, Heros rehabilitates racehorses to riding horses and ensure they find excellent homes once their racing careers are over. Team Adlestrop pride ourselves on our unique, friendly and fun atmosphere at Adlestrop Stables and were winners of the 'Lycetts Team Champion' Award in 2021.

Manton Road runs today at Brighton in the one mile handicap. The plan is to ride him more patiently this time as he breathes in a better rhythm when doing so. He definitely has the ability to run well in such a contest and hopefully he will go on the ground which will inevitably be on the fast side due to this week’s weather.

Two runners today at Uttoxeter with Manalishi and Sumatran Tiger. Manalishi has shown promise on each of his runs and appears in good form at home. Although it is a competitive race, we are hopeful of another pleasing run from him. He is a very popular horse with a great character and has put up with a few set backs during his career but has always shown plenty of ability.

Sumatran Tiger is a dual Jersey Derby winner who loves her jumping and good ground. She has had a wind op over the winter and we look forward to her having a successful summer for owner Bunny Roberts. Harry Bannister rides both.
