Thomas Pritchard Takes the Win in SEIB Insurance Brokers Winter Novice Qualifier at Kelsall Hill

"Izzy is homebred by Julian Mincher and the Double M Stud who I ride for, he is very fond of her as he rode both her Dam and Sire. She has always been a super competitive mare and did qualify for this class last year when she was just a five year old and I think it will be even better to go back and jump it with her as a six year old."

😊 SHARE A SMILE THIS NOVEMBER! 😊

This November, British Showjumping, in collaboration with The Wellbeing People, is encouraging everyone to get involved in our Share a Smile campaign!

We want to see what makes you smile! Whether it’s a special moment with your horse, a funny moment at a show, time spent with friends and family, or simply something that has brightened your day, share it with us by tagging British Showjumping in your pictures, comments and stories. We’ll be sharing some of your smiles throughout the month to spread a little happiness!

We all know that our sport can have its challenges, and sometimes it’s the smallest gestures that can make the biggest difference. A smile can lift someone's spirits, brighten their day and remind them that they are not alone. Whether it comes from a friend, family member, fellow competitor or even someone you’ve never met before, a smile is a simple way to connect with others – and the best part is that it’s contagious!

So, let's come together this November to celebrate the power of a smile, spread a little positivity and remind each other just how much a simple smile can mean.

Get tagging, get sharing and let's make November a month full of smiles! 💛

🎆 Firework season is here – let's help keep our horses safe and settled! 🐴

With fireworks lighting up the skies over the coming weeks, it's important to remember that loud bangs and flashes can be frightening for horses. A little forward planning can make all the difference in keeping them calm and safe.

Here are a few helpful tips to consider:

🐴 Exercise early: Where possible, plan your exercise earlier in the day, as most fireworks are set off after dark.

🎶 Put on some music or TV: If your horse is stabled, try playing the radio or television to help mask the noise. Classic FM's Pet Classics playlist is a great option for soothing sounds.

💚 Act as you usually do: Horses can pick up on our behaviour, so try to remain calm and stick to your normal routine.

🐎 Review turnout and management plans: Consider whether any changes to your horse's usual routine may help keep them settled and safe.

🤝 Speak to your neighbours and local display organisers: Knowing when and where fireworks are planned can help you prepare in advance.

🔒 Check fencing, gates and paddocks: Make sure everything is secure to reduce the risk of horses escaping if they become frightened.

Let's all do our bit to make firework season a little less stressful for our four-legged friends.

Stay safe and look after your horses! 💚
