Our final judge announcement 📣 for Kick Ass Curves 2027!!

Cat Asstrophe is a q***r and neurospicy midnight ballerina whose first ever competition was KAC back in 2021(?).
She’s competed and performed more times than she probably should have (according to her physio, but who listens to them?
You should that’s who, do as she says not as she does).
These include KAC, YFF and YFFloor, Glow, Shadowbound and Eden’s the garden.

At night she’s a wallet draining floor gremlin and loves all things raunchy, naughty and just the right amount of unhinged.

By day, she’s a hospital worker, carer for her granny (the most badass plus size woman she’s ever met) and mama to Eevee the cat, certified yarn thief and troublemaker.

She’s thrilled to see all the talent on stage at Kick Ass Curves and hopes that every single competitor knows how amazing they are just for being here in the first place.

Claire started her performer journey many years ago on the Kick Ass stage and is well known for hosting YFF events!

She says…

Hi I’m Jimo, I’ve been in the pole industry for over 12 years. I’ve been teaching now for many years and now own a pole and aerial studio in Wisbech with my two besties.
I have had the honour of competing, judging, compering and guest performing at many events over the years.
I can’t wait to see all your amazing videos and performances.
My favourite thing is to watch people bring their creations to life. Let’s make KAC 2027 the BEST so far ###

Judge no 2 Announcement 📣 Welcome Gem

Gem has been in the pole world since 2007 and has never regretted it. Pole has been one of the biggest things in their life ever since.
Gem has competed possibly close to 100 times and is never happier than when on a stage being able to lose themself in music and performance.
Crappier health things mean that their focus is now on encouraging others to be the best poler they can be, and they teach at Off the Ground Pole Studio in Sheffield, teaching that pole CAN be for EVERY body and there is nearly always an adaptation out there to make it work.

They love seeing people be their best selves on stage and enjoying what they do so and has had the honour of being invited to judge at UKPPC and Glow pole Competition in recent times.
Now judging KAC is a great honour after competing here so many times, it’s good to see it from the other side!
Remember to breathe and enjoy your time on stage, it’s YOUR time :-)

Welcoming back to the panel for the 3rd year in our first judge announcement 📣 Ema who has been an advocate and inspiration to Kick Ass Curves before it existed!

Ema’s passion for pole dancing began way back in 2013, and over the years she has dedicated herself to growing in skill, strength, and artistry — reaching a wonderful milestone when she qualified as a pole instructor in 2022!

She now teaches and trains regularly at the lovely Flying Foxes Pole & Aerial Studio, based in Wainfleet, near the beautiful Skegness coast — sharing her love of this amazing sport and art form with so many others.

When she’s not up on the pole or teaching, Ema is the proud mummy to two beautiful, wonderfully cheeky little girls — who definitely keep her on her toes!

“I’m so happy to be returning to the judges’ panel for Kick As Curves! This is my third year judging, and I’m absolutely buzzing with excitement — I can’t wait to see every single performer light up the stage, show off all their hard work, and shine brighter than ever before!”

This category celebrates experienced plus-size athletes performing at an experienced level.
Competitors are encouraged to showcase technical excellence, originality, artistry, and commanding stage presence in a polished and engaging performance.

Can be barefoot or heels, can enter as doubles.

Again with this category, we’re looking for heels people that want to perform some pole tricks, but this is more about the Classique style of pole, if you like to do some tricks on the pole but also heels, this is for you… only basic inverts/hips above head are allowed…

A heels-based technical category highlighting clean ex*****on, control, flexibility, strength, and Classique pole technique. Judging prioritises trick quality, transitions, and overall technical presentation. Cannot have placed 1st in an Intermediate level competition.

A category celebrating technical heels skill, precision, and Classique pole movement. Competitors are judged primarily on the dance, quality, control, ex*****on and creativity of their tricks, transitions, and pole technique. Cannot have placed 1st in an Intermediate level competition.
