🏉🌊 WYTHENSHAWE COMMUNITY RUGBY CLUB — L***Y GLAZE BEACH RUGBY TOUR 2026! 🌊🏉

What a weekend. What a team. What an adventure! 🔥

The Wythenshawe Community Rugby Club crew headed down to L***y Glaze, Cornwall for two days of beach rugby, sunshine, laughs and some seriously impressive rugby! 🏖️☀️🏉

And our mixed team absolutely stood up and delivered! 💙

With players pulled together from across the club, including some of our fantastic Minis & Juniors, our lads and lasses went toe-to-toe with grown adults for two days solid and gave everyone something to talk about.

💥 Some outstanding rugby skills
💥 Huge effort from every player
💥 Plenty of Wythenshawe spirit
💥 And just ONE POINT separated us from a place in the semi-finals!

Think about that… a team made up of a real mix of ages and experience, with some of our younger players stepping onto the beach to compete against adults, and coming within a single point of the last four. 🤯👏

That’s not just a result.

THAT’S WYTHENSHAWE. 💙

And the best bit?

🔥 WE’LL BE BACK! 🔥

Hi all, due to one of our members of staff being stuck coming home from their holiday there will be no touch rugby session tonight, we will see you all back on Tuesday at 6pm.

🌅 A NEW DAWN IS RISING AT WYTHENSHAWE 🏉

Some shots from Saturday’s pre-season fixture against Broughton Park 3s.

Although the result wasn’t the one the lads would have wanted, there were some fantastic passages of rugby on display and a brilliant effort from everyone who stepped onto the pitch. 💙

A special shout-out goes to those who, before Saturday, had never stepped foot on a rugby pitch other than to train. To pull on the shirt, get stuck in and give it everything in a match situation takes some serious courage, and you should all be incredibly proud of yourselves. 👏

This is what New Dawn Rising is all about. 🌅
New team. New coaching set-up. New faces. New attitude.

There’s plenty to work on, but there are also plenty of positives to take forward.

The wait is nearly over… Wythenshawe Community Rugby Club are back in action! 💙

We’re heading to Broughton Park for a pre-season friendly as the lads continue preparations for the new season.
