This year we will have welcomed 630 people through the doors of Victoria Baths to help them switch off a relax and what a pleasure it has been.

Our final Victoria Baths sound bath of 2026. ✨

This Tuesday, we return to one of my favourite spaces in Manchester for the 19th Life Is Sound gathering at Victoria Baths.

90 minutes to slow everything down, switch off for a while and just be.

We now have just 18 spaces remaining for the season finale.

After another incredible season in this beautiful space, we’re coming together one last time before we say goodbye to Victoria Baths for the year.

90 minutes to slow everything down, switch off from the noise and give yourself some space to just be.

I absolutely love watching people arrive in the space, get settled and feel the energy build.

This is one of the oldest human rituals, gathering for an experience with music and sound. It brings us together in so many ways. 👌🏼

The handpan feels more like a calling than a choice.

There’s something about this instrument that I find hard to put into words.

You can push it, you can strip it right back. It has depth, character, emotion, fragility and strength. Everything that makes us human somehow exists within it.

But the biggest thing it’s taught me is to let go.

To stop thinking about what I’m playing, stop trying to control where it’s going and just play from the heart.

Because when you do, the people in the room feel it in theirs too. ✨

That connection is difficult to explain until you’ve experienced it.

As a player and as a listener, this instrument changes you.

It genuinely feels like the thing that was missing from my life before I even knew it existed.
