Last night I was back at it with the 1-2-1’s, this time it was up at Tickhill square with Denaby Main JFC under 9’s keeper Chimmy
On arrival I spoke to the manager and they informed me what he needed to work on
I then was introduced to Chimmy and I explained what we was going to do during the session
He started off with the team then joined me for his 1-2-1
We worked on;
:Handling, using W, Cup and Scoop technique
:Communication, shouting keepers when coming or claiming the ball and shouting away if he wasn’t
:Positioning, where to be in relation to the ball and goal awareness, also coming out to sweep/block shots
He then joined his team for the end of session game where I stayed and observed and to see him put in practice what we’d done 🧤 ⚽️
At the end of the session I gave his coaches some Advice on what to do in upcoming training sessions with him
Really good session with Chimmy last night, took everything on board and made real progress throughout 😊
