🎉🚶♂️ MALDON BOOTCAMPS MAY STEP CHALLENGE - WHAT AN ACHIEVEMENT! 🚶♀️🎉
WOW! What a month it's been!
Throughout May, over 50 people (not all MBC members) signed up to our Step Challenge with one simple goal: move more, build healthier habits, improve wellbeing, and see just how far we could go together.
The challenge wasn't just about winning. It was about finding opportunities to be more active, taking the stairs instead of the lift, going for that evening walk, getting outside, improving physical and mental wellbeing, and creating positive habits that last long after May has finished.
(And the weather turned up for us as well)
And the results?
🔥 15,665,000 STEPS! 🔥
That's an incredible effort from everyone involved. Collectively, those steps add up to some mind-blowing numbers:
👣 15.6 million steps
📏 Approximately 7,830 miles walked
🌍 That's the equivalent of walking from Maldon all the way to New Zealand!
🇬🇧 It's roughly the same as walking the length of the UK over 8 times
🚶♂️ If one person walked it alone at 3mph for 8 hours a day, it would take them nearly 11 months of walking every single day!
Most importantly, thousands upon thousands of those steps were taken because people chose to move when they otherwise might not have.
Whether you finished top of the leaderboard, smashed a personal target, discovered a love for walking, or simply became a little more active than before, you should be incredibly proud of yourself.
