I’m reaching out to ask for a little help and support from our amazing local community. Not for money for time just for a few words 😃.
As many of you know, we are starting the process of applying for grant funding to improve our pavilion and toilet facilities at the park. Our biggest goal is to create at least one disabled-access toilet and make the toilets accessible both from inside the hall and from outside too. We also want to improve the heating and lighting in the pavilion so it can be used all year round and help bring in extra revenue to support the park long term.
Right now, we’re already using last year’s gala funds to repair parts of the play park, but there is still so much more to do, and unfortunately these costs continue year after year.
The committee and I are working incredibly hard behind the scenes to maintain and improve the park for everyone in the community. This park belongs to all of us 🛝🌳
What would really help our funding application is hearing from YOU.
If the park and pavilion means something to you, if your family uses the facilities, if your children enjoy the play park, or if you think these improvements would benefit the community, please leave a comment below. Even a short message of support would mean so much and could make a real difference to our application. 🥰
I also want to say a huge thank you to all the local builders who have taken the time to come out and provide quotes for the work. We know there’s no guarantee of securing the tender, so we truly appreciate your time, patience and support throughout this process.
