Would you like to join Lloyd & me for an immersive Soundbath ?
We will be sharing a Soundbath at Partney Victory Hall on Tuesday 29th September at 7.30pm.
The exchange is £15.
If you have never experienced a Soundbath before and thought you might like to try one here is some information:
During a sound bath, you’re immersed in soothing sounds and vibrations produced by instruments like singing bowls, gongs, and chimes.
It’s different for everyone but here is what you may experience
Physically
The sounds promote deep relaxation by helping to activate your parasympathetic nervous system (rest-and-digest mode).
Your heart rate and breathing slow down and as you relax, your vital signs may shift toward a calmer state.
Some people report feeling gentle vibrations or tingling sensations, especially if large gongs or bowls are used close to the body.
Mentally/Emotionally
The steady, repetitive tones can help shift brainwaves from a waking (beta) state into more meditative states (alpha, theta, or even delta), associated with calm, creativity, or deep rest.
Many people feel a release of tension or mental clutter, sometimes comparable to deep meditation or even sleep, which can release feelings of stress and anxiety.
It’s common to experience emotional release or insight, as the sounds create a nonverbal space for internal exploration.
Spiritually (for some)
Some people describe sound baths as a spiritual or transcendent experience, feeling more connected to themselves or a greater sense of peace.
I would not recommend a Soundbath for people with the following conditions:
Sound induced epilepsy
Severe mental health issues
Severe heart conditions
Recent surgery
First trimester of pregnancy
As you will be lying on the ground for over an hour I would recommend you bring the following:
something very comfortable to lie on for example a padded mat or similar.
A blanket to wrap yourself up in as your temperature tends to lower when you relax
2 pillows (one for under your head and one for under your knees)
Some water for afterwards
If you prefer you can sit on a chair although you will have a completely different experience, please feel free to contact me and speak to me if you have issues with lying on your back for a while.
Please arrive about 10 minutes earlier than the start time to allow yourself to get ready and so no
one is disturbed by late arrivals.
If you would like to join us then please contact me to book your place as limited spaces available. By DM or text 07983 275481
Warm wishes
Amanda
