Positive Pathways, we aim to make Jiu Jitsu accessible to everyone, regardless of their circumstances.

This project started with one man, no funding, and very little money—just a belief that Jiu Jitsu can change lives. Since then, it has grown into something truly special, providing opportunities, support, and a positive environment for young people and families in our community.

We're now asking for your help. Whether it's training kit, financial support, equipment, professional advice, or simply sharing our mission, every contribution helps us grow and become more professional and sustainable.

Together, we can continue creating positive pathways for those who need them most.

If you'd like to support the project in any way, please get in touch. Every bit of help makes a difference.

Thank you for believing in what we're building.

I am currently working to introduce a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu programme into schools and after-school clubs. I strongly believe that if young people are introduced to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at an early age, they can develop valuable disciplines and habits that will benefit them throughout their lives.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu teaches much more than self-defence. It promotes respect, self-control, resilience, teamwork, confidence, problem-solving, and accountability. These are all important life skills that can help young people both inside and outside the classroom.

Through regular training, students learn how to set goals, overcome challenges, manage their emotions, and treat others with respect. They also learn the value of hard work, consistency, and perseverance—qualities that can positively impact their education, relationships, and future careers.

My aim is to make Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu accessible to as many young people as possible through school and community-based programmes. By engaging students early, we can help build confidence, improve behaviour, encourage positive decision-making, and create a strong sense of belonging and community.

I believe this programme has the potential to make a significant positive impact on the lives of young people, helping them develop into confident, respectful, and resilient members of society.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is more than just a martial art — it builds confidence, discipline, respect, resilience, and self-belief.

Our classes help children and adults improve fitness, focus, self-defence, and mental wellbeing in a safe and positive environment. Through training, students learn how to overcome challenges, work as a team, and develop the confidence to handle pressure both on and off the mats.

We believe Jiu Jitsu changes lives by bringing people together, creating positive role models, and giving the community something to be proud of.

I’m not gonna lie, I’m almost offended when Facebook admins decline my posts and the response is “think about giving more to the community and not taking.”

We already give a lot to the community. We run free classes every single week, coaches give up their time, and we’ve built opportunities for kids and adults that didn’t exist before. Yes, we also run some paid classes — are we not allowed to get paid for our work as well?

People don’t always see the hours behind the scenes, the planning, the travelling, the coaching, and the sacrifices that go into building something positive from the ground up. We’re trying to grow martial arts in the community while also creating opportunities for coaches and young athletes.

We’ll keep pushing regardless. The people involved know the work that’s being done.
