🏃♀️🏋️♂️🧘♀️ Yes, we’re a Pilates studio. No, we don’t think Pilates is the only answer.
We love what Pilates does for strength, control and posture — but good movement isn’t a competition between disciplines. The research backs a well-rounded approach:
🔹 Strength training at least twice a week is linked to meaningful health benefits, including improvements in blood pressure and overall body function — not hours in the gym, just consistency.
🔹 Running, even just once a week, is associated with significantly lower risk of cardiovascular and all-cause mortality. More isn’t necessarily better — showing up matters more than volume.
🔹 Mixing modalities — strength, balance, cardio — has been shown to protect against injury and functional decline in ways that no single form of exercise does alone.
The takeaway from the science? Move often, move in different ways, and find what you’ll actually stick to. For a lot of our clients, that’s Pilates plus a run, a lift, a swim, a walk with the dog.
Whatever gets you moving — we’re
cheering you on. 💛
